Hidden on the dashboard of the real Tesla Roadster was a tiny Hot Wheels version of the same car — a 1:64 scale model. And inside that miniature Roadster sat an even smaller figure: a tiny spaceman in a white spacesuit, hands on the wheel, perfectly replicating Starman’s pose.
Elon Musk never tweeted about it. He only mentioned it once, during the post-launch press conference, with his characteristic dry humor:
“And if you look closely, on the dashboard, there’s a tiny Roadster, with a tiny spaceman.”
