Bliss of Reminiscing
(สุขสันต์วันปีใหม่)

Welcoming the New Year with family is always special, and this year was filled with simple joys and meaningful moments.

🍞 We began the year with freshly baked pastries and hot tea at KA-NUM Home Café, a seaside café at Thap Sakae Beach, a cozy place to relax and enjoy a beautiful ocean view.

🚙 Our journey continued to the palm-wood chapel at Wat Ang Suwan, the only one of its kind in the world. Standing there, we felt deeply connected to the local culture and the quiet beauty of the place.

🍬 As the day gently came to an end, we gathered at home to enjoy fresh seafood and delicious desserts filled with local flavors we truly loved near the Kui Buri fresh market.

🦩 The following morning, we slowed down even more at a hidden café by the canal, surrounded by nature in Khao Daeng.

Simple moments, beautiful places, great food, and precious family time—this is how we started the New Year with happiness and warm memories.

Sea la vie!
(หัวหิน)

Hua Hin has long been one of Thailand’s most beloved seaside resort towns. Its expansive beach, gentle surf, and refreshing ocean breeze invite visitors to feel the soft white sand beneath their feet and surrender to the soothing rhythm of the sea.

🪸 Among Thailand’s coastal escapes, Hua Hin holds a special place in the hearts of travelers—an iconic shoreline woven with stories, character, and a charm that endures beyond time.

Once a humble fishing village known as Ban Samo Riang in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Hua Hin began its transformation with the arrival of the southern railway, gradually blossoming into the legendary resort destination cherished today.

🪁 From exhilarating jet skiing and kiteboarding to nostalgic horseback rides along the beach, Hua Hin offers a peaceful retreat where nature, heritage, and seaside living exist in perfect harmony.

Here, moments linger like the last light of day, and the sea quietly calls—welcoming you back, time after time.

Khao Chae (Thai Summer Rice) is a signature summer delicacy that reflects culinary wisdom through refined ingredients and meticulous preparation—one of Thailand’s treasured food heritages, preserved across generations.

⚜️ Originating with the Mon people during the Ayutthaya period, the dish was created to relieve summer heat. It features cooked rice soaked in cool, flower-scented water, paired with savory accompaniments.

🍽 In the early Rattanakosin era, Khao Chae entered the royal court and became more refined. The rice was rinsed until clear, the water delicately perfumed, and the side dishes balanced in sweet and salty flavors.

⚜️ Phetchaburi-style Khao Chae is believed to descend from a royal recipe of Royal Consort Klin, blending courtly elegance with local ingredients and aromas.

More than a cooling dish,
Khao Chae is an enduring legacy of patience and grace
—flowing
from royal courts to local tables

Before Sunset
(ถนนเฟื่องนคร)

An invitation to wander an old-city street where layers of time quietly overlap. Once a thriving commercial road, Fueang Nakhon now embraces slowness as a way of life.

🚧 One of Thailand’s first three roads, built alongside Charoen Krung and Bamrung Mueang in 1863, a milestone in the nation’s urban history.

💍 The road’s character endures through traces of a prosperous past, once shaped by jewelry trade and key printing houses of the capital.

📚 Lamunlit Printing House has become IM En Ville café, a calm spot overlooking Wat Ratchabophit, while Suksit Siam Bookshop continues turning pages for generations of readers.

🏘 Beyond shops and cafés, Fueang Nakhon is lined with lived-in buildings that embody local life and beautifully echo the city’s past prosperity.

Before sunset, the street offers no spectacle — only the quiet grace of time passing.

Uncovering the origins of Fai Chai, a legendary junction on Thonburi’s side of Bangkok—now reduced to a name and fading memories, remembered not just by maps, but by generations.

🛣 Familiar to residents of Bangkok Noi, Fai Chai was once a three-way junction. Today, it has been reshaped into a four-way intersection to connect routes toward Phutthamonthon Sai 4.

🚇 Urban transformation has layered the area with roadside shops, an underpass, the Blue Line MRT, and traces of the old Southern Bus Terminal, once a gateway for travelers heading south.

🔦 Fai Chai does not refer to a simple flashlight, but it comes from a powerful searchlight mounted on anti-aircraft guns during the World War II era, used to scan the night sky for enemy planes alongside long-range sound detectors.

🚦 That beam left a lasting mark. As roads expanded and communities grew, the name Fai Chai endured.

The past still shines—preserved in a name we continue to speak.

Cabin Crew Recruitment
(Nok Air)

Shortly after the New Year holidays, the cabin crew recruitment season returned once again.

📆 Nok Air’s recruitment became the first challenge of my year—one I chose to embrace as an opportunity to push myself and rebuild my confidence.

📱 When the announcement appeared on social media, a long-forgotten excitement resurfaced, motivating me to prepare with renewed focus and determination.

Careful planning became essential
, from completing the application and meeting the English test requirements to maintaining a professional appearance.

🎶 Along the journey, I met P’Bud and New, whose encouragement eased my nerves and reminded me that I was not alone on this path.

🧑🏻‍💼 While my passion for service was sincere, I struggled with self-confidence when demonstrating my posture and cabin crew walk in front of the committee.

This experience reminded me that
true growth begins when confidence is tested
—and I am determined to return stronger and better prepared than before.

“Music is the shorthand of emotion.” —Leo Tolstoy

📱 About a year ago, I got to know a man through social media. I usually don’t accept friend requests from people I don’t know, but I made an exception this time because we had mutual friends.

💬 It didn’t take long to discover that Ling Haitao, a Chinese friend, had graduated from a university in Russia—just like me. Even more surprising was the fact that he was working in Thailand and spoke Thai fluently.

🎼 Our conversations flowed easily across a wide range of topics, from everyday life and Chinese work culture to Russian learning, photography, and music.

🎹 It was through the piano that I truly got to know him. Among the short performances videos he shared, my favorite was a gentle instrumental version of Chrysanthemum Terrace (菊花台) by Jay Chou (video 4).

Sometimes, a piano played by a stranger can feel closer than words from people we know. Has music ever made a stranger feel close to you?
