Bliss of Reminiscing
(สุขสันต์วันปีใหม่)
🍞 We began the year with freshly baked pastries and hot tea at KA-NUM Home Café, a seaside café at Thap Sakae Beach, a cozy place to relax and enjoy a beautiful ocean view.
🚙 Our journey continued to the palm-wood chapel at Wat Ang Suwan, the only one of its kind in the world. Standing there, we felt deeply connected to the local culture and the quiet beauty of the place.
🍬 As the day gently came to an end, we gathered at home to enjoy fresh seafood and delicious desserts filled with local flavors we truly loved near the Kui Buri fresh market.
🦩 The following morning, we slowed down even more at a hidden café by the canal, surrounded by nature in Khao Daeng.
Simple moments, beautiful places, great food, and precious family time—this is how we started the New Year with happiness and warm memories.

Once a humble fishing village known as Ban Samo Riang in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Hua Hin began its transformation with the arrival of the southern railway, gradually blossoming into the legendary resort destination cherished today.

⚜️ Originating with the Mon people during the Ayutthaya period, the dish was created to relieve summer heat. It features cooked rice soaked in cool, flower-scented water, paired with savory accompaniments.
🍽 In the early Rattanakosin era, Khao Chae entered the royal court and became more refined. The rice was rinsed until clear, the water delicately perfumed, and the side dishes balanced in sweet and salty flavors.
⚜️ Phetchaburi-style Khao Chae is believed to descend from a royal recipe of Royal Consort Klin, blending courtly elegance with local ingredients and aromas.

Before Sunset
(ถนนเฟื่องนคร)
🚧 One of Thailand’s first three roads, built alongside Charoen Krung and Bamrung Mueang in 1863, a milestone in the nation’s urban history.
💍 The road’s character endures through traces of a prosperous past, once shaped by jewelry trade and key printing houses of the capital.
📚 Lamunlit Printing House has become IM En Ville café, a calm spot overlooking Wat Ratchabophit, while Suksit Siam Bookshop continues turning pages for generations of readers.
🏘 Beyond shops and cafés, Fueang Nakhon is lined with lived-in buildings that embody local life and beautifully echo the city’s past prosperity.
Before sunset, the street offers no spectacle — only the quiet grace of time passing.

An invitation to wander an old-city street where layers of time quietly overlap. Once a thriving commercial road, Fueang Nakhon now embraces slowness as a way of life.
