Rich Cultural Tapestry
(พระนครศรีอยุธยา)

Stepping through the past, smiling in the present.

🛺 In the afternoon, we hopped on a tuk-tuk and let the city unfold around us. As a UNESCO World Heritage site, Ayutthaya revealed its quiet beauty through timeworn bricks and living traces of history.

🍜 No visit feels truly complete without a bowl of Ayutthaya’s famous boat noodles—rich, flavorful, and comfortingly affordable.

🛕 Our journey continued to Wat Phra Si Sanphet, where three majestic stupas rose beneath the soft late-day light. Nearby, at Wat Lokayasutharam, the great reclining Buddha rested in serene stillness, timeless and humbling.

🎣 As the light mellowed, we paused at Sayama Ayutthaya, a riverside café in a traditional Thai house, before heading to Pom Phet, where golden reflections shimmered across the Chao Phraya River at sunset.

We ended the day with soft, sweet roti sai mai—a gentle and fitting finale to a day perfectly spent in Ayutthaya.

2025 recap | leave no stone unturned

A year of slowing down life abroad—gaining clarity and choosing to move forward with intention.

🏡 It began with meaningful time with family and relatives: making merit, temple hopping, and our trips to Hua Hin and Phetchaburi.

🎻 The year was shaped by strong friendships. International friends came to visit, while Namwa and Music became steady constants in my life.

💯 Living true to myself taught me to listen more deeply, learn from others, and face challenges with greater calm, patience, and mindfulness.

📠 My focus shifted toward work and financial discipline—settling into life at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while learning to release certain dreams with acceptance.

🛫 Travel abroad continues to fuel my curiosity and passion, yet visiting Laos brought just as much joy as a trip to Kuala Lumpur.

In the end, I learned that
happiness often walks alongside disappointment
, and strength lies in choosing to move forward anyway.

Fruits of Courtesans
(วัดคณิกาผล)

Another side of Bangkok reveals how faith endures in every corner of society—even a temple founded by courtesans was never seen as a threat to this Buddhist city.

🏮 During the reign of King Rama III, Trok Tao in Yaowarat was known as a “green-lantern quarter,” Bangkok’s historic red-light district.

🎭 One of its most famous brothels was run by Grandma Faeng, a wealthy madam patronized by the elite.

🪙 Inspired by royal devotion to Buddhism—she and the women pooled their earnings to build a temple of their own.

🕰 First known as Wat Mai Yai Faeng, it was later renamed Wat Kanikaphon by King Rama IV, literally meaning “a temple built from the gains of courtesans.”

🌺 Today, visitors come seeking love, patronage, fortune, and success in their work—echoes of hopes once whispered by those who built it, coin by coin.

The temple still stands as a quiet testament to
faith beyond respectability

Bliss of Reminiscing
(สุขสันต์วันปีใหม่)

Welcoming the New Year with family is always special, and this year was filled with simple joys and meaningful moments.

🍞 We began the year with freshly baked pastries and hot tea at KA-NUM Home Café, a seaside café at Thap Sakae Beach, a cozy place to relax and enjoy a beautiful ocean view.

🚙 Our journey continued to the palm-wood chapel at Wat Ang Suwan, the only one of its kind in the world. Standing there, we felt deeply connected to the local culture and the quiet beauty of the place.

🍬 As the day gently came to an end, we gathered at home to enjoy fresh seafood and delicious desserts filled with local flavors we truly loved near the Kui Buri fresh market.

🦩 The following morning, we slowed down even more at a hidden café by the canal, surrounded by nature in Khao Daeng.

Simple moments, beautiful places, great food, and precious family time—this is how we started the New Year with happiness and warm memories.

Sea la vie!
(หัวหิน)

Hua Hin has long been one of Thailand’s most beloved seaside resort towns. Its expansive beach, gentle surf, and refreshing ocean breeze invite visitors to feel the soft white sand beneath their feet and surrender to the soothing rhythm of the sea.

🪸 Among Thailand’s coastal escapes, Hua Hin holds a special place in the hearts of travelers—an iconic shoreline woven with stories, character, and a charm that endures beyond time.

Once a humble fishing village known as Ban Samo Riang in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Hua Hin began its transformation with the arrival of the southern railway, gradually blossoming into the legendary resort destination cherished today.

🪁 From exhilarating jet skiing and kiteboarding to nostalgic horseback rides along the beach, Hua Hin offers a peaceful retreat where nature, heritage, and seaside living exist in perfect harmony.

Here, moments linger like the last light of day, and the sea quietly calls—welcoming you back, time after time.
