People often ask us “what can we do about what is happening in the world?”
My answer is always the same, work on yourself sincerely and honestly so that you may remove the barriers in the way that prevents you from the natural unfolding of your deeper life purpose.
This means to take responsibility for ALL areas your life, get the parts of your life in order that need to be taken care of, get your emotional/physical/psychological/spiritual health in order, and then what will need to be done by YOU specifically on this planet during this time will come naturally to you.
I’m a big fan of mentors and feedback from others, but in my experience no good mentor can tell you exactly what you need to do, they’ll just lead you back to the part of you that can figure it out yourself....and honestly most advice like this should be taken with a grain of salt, including mine.
I can only have my own opinions, and my opinion that what we do need right now is people who are not afraid to SPEAK UP even if someone is going to call them a name for it and try and cancel them.
So much is at stake right now if we don’t speak our minds, and we need fearless warriors who are willing to stand in the line of fire and say what needs to be said.
If you aren’t allowing yourself to speak up for what you believe in, you’ll never have a chance to discover who it is you are and even what you stand for. You’ll self censor and silence yourself so much you’ll forget yourself. This was much of my life when I was a people pleaser.
We also have at risk, if we don’t speak up at this time in history, having basic fundamental human rights given to us by God attempted to get taken away.... as we have seen already.
We need people who are confident enough in themselves that they can withstand the onslaught of attacks when they decide to go against the herd.
When the world had gone mad with fear, we need beings who are sourced from Self and do not get their validation from the outer world.
I believe that we all came here for a very specific reason, during such cataclysmic times.
We all have very specific medicine for this dying world,
and when we learn our lessons, life is effortless, sometimes painful and filled with noble suffering, but it flows.
When we don’t learn our lessons, we experience frustration, repeated unnecessary suffering, and the unfolding of our life stalls.
In the words of the now canceled “White supremacist” Doctor Seuss:
“Be who you are and say what you feel, because in the end those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter.”
All roads of self work lead back to you being an even more wonderful weirder version of your true self 💜
You are the only person who can do exactly what it is you are here to do. Let yourself be who you are.

LETTING GO BY TELLING THE TRUTH

You have nothing to be ashamed of! That is the basis for telling the truth. You may not be the greatest scholar or mechanic or artist or lover in the world, but what you are is genuinely, basically good. If you actually feel that, then you can let go of hesitation and self-consciousness and tell the truth, without exaggeration or denigration. Then you begin to understand the importance of communicating openly with others.
If you tell the truth to others, then they can also be open with you—maybe not immediately, but you are giving them the opportunity to express themselves honestly as well. When you do not say what you feel, you generate confusion for yourself and confusion for others. Avoiding the truth defeats the purpose of speech as communication.
Telling the truth is also connected with gentleness. A Shambhala person speaks gently: he or she doesn’t bark. Gentle speech expresses your dignity, as does having good head and shoulders. It would be very strange if someone had good head and shoulders and began to bark. It would be very incongruous. Often when you talk to a person who doesn’t know English, you find yourself yelling—as if you had to shout to be understood. That is exactly what should happen.
If you want to communicate with others, you don’t have to shout and bang on the table in order to get them to listen. If you are telling the truth, then you can speak gently, and your words will have power.”
