People started getting attracted to all these “New Age” practices because they were fun, novel, exotic, and different, and then they realized that they wouldn’t work. The fact is that those practices alone will not help you because you need grounded psychological work as well.

People often misuse the word occult and equate it with evil or demonic practices. Occult means hidden, and it comes from the Latin word occultāre. It is not evil or good, it’s completely neutral. So, when people say I was deep in the occult, they are saying they were deep in the hidden.
