OPINION PIECE: Covid is on the way back with all the ‘preventative’ measures that you would expect, lockdowns, masks, ‘vaccination’, anything and everything that the government can get away with. I am making this pessimistic prediction based on the placing of highly selective pieces on information in the public domain. Again the narrative will be about the health services being overwhelmed, about protecting the vulnerable and particularly about getting ‘vaccinated’. The variant EG5, called Eris variant now makes up over 20% of all covid infections in the US, it will become the dominant variant over the next month or so. In Ireland there was a 32•5% increase in EG5 infection from last week. There were 22 outbreaks in hospitals and 18 outbreaks in nursing homes last week, these numbers are small but they will grow. This variant is mild and should require no intervention or special measures. Also BA2.86 variant will be coming our way as well, again highly infectious but mild. However Pfizer’s have informed us that a new vaccine will be available in late a September and until then the vast stockpile of unused omicron specific ‘vaccine’ could be used. The drive for mass vaccination has started.
