THE CHINESE COMPANY BUILDING THE WORLD’S LARGEST VACCINE FACTORY IN DUNDALK OWNS THE COMPANY COLLECTING THE DNA OF HALF A MILLION IRISH PEOPLE THAT’S BEING “SOLD” TO OTHER COMPANIES. THE IRISH STATE HAS FUNDED THIS TO THE TUNE OF $70 million.
Joining up the dots the government deems the building of the world’s largest vaccine factory in Dundalk by the Chinese company WuXi “essential “ and work is going ahead unabated despite the fact that 60% of construction is currently closed. I did a post on this earlier. (1)
WuXi also owns the company harvesting the DNA from Irish hospitals that they then sell on for profit. To add insult to injury the state has handed over $70 million from the national pension fund to this company.
Genomics Medicine Ireland (GMI) was founded in 2015, is leading one of the world’s most ambitious genome research programme to gather the DNA of a tenth of the Irish population for private research.(2)
The company was acquired by Chinese genomics specialists WuXi for an undisclosed sum as part of the $400 million programme, which was announced in late November 2018.
The Irish Strategic Investment Fund, an €8 billion State-backed fund that operates under the umbrella of the National Treasury Management Agency, invested $70 million in the project.
In July 2019 David McConnell and Orla Hardiman did an exposé in the Irish Times pointing out that the HSE is allowing GMI to mine DNA data harvested in Irish hospitals that they then sell for profit to private companies. (3)
Meanwhile public medical research is deprived of access to this genetic data.
“This approach places at risk the free availability of genomic data for scientific research that could benefit patients,” they wrote.
Citing the example of Genomics Medicine Ireland collecting data from patients in public hospitals that will have considerable value they wrote:
“We urgently need a properly governed genomics programme in Ireland that will ensure that Irish genomics remains within the public (non-commercial) domain.”
Dr Anne Ryan is chief executive of Genomics Medicine Ireland.
Speaking on the Marian Finucane Show on RTÉ Radio 1, a week later Dr Ryan said she agreed with the sentiment outlined in the article in The Irish Times by scientists David McConnell and Orla Hardiman expressing concern that Ireland seems to have adopted an entirely commercial approach to genomic medicine.(4)
She said in the long term, the company wanted to “integrate into the Irish health system and to do that” it would have to open up the database. “But it has to have a time delay” so that access to the data can initially be sold, she said.
US senators Charles Grassley and Marco Rubio, in a letter to the US department of health and human sciences in June 2019, said the FBI “has identified national security risks related to sharing genomic data and recognises China as a primary source of those risks”.
In a letter sent on behalf of the US Senate’s finance committee, they said a February report from the department raised concerns that the National Institutes of Health gave access to US genomic data to for-profit companies from China, including WuXi Nextcode Genomics and Shenzhen BGI Technology Company, “even though the FBI has identified those companies as having ties to the Chinese government”.
They said WuXI have publicly touted its partnerships with the Chinese telecoms company Huawei to expand genomic analysis.
“As you know, Huawei is a state-directed Chinese telecommunications company that, according to the heads of six US intelligence agencies, including the CIA, FBI, NSA and the director of national intelligence, possesses the capabilities to ‘maliciously modify or steal information’ and to ‘conduct undetected espionage’.

“This is the same company that the US recently charged with conspiring to defraud our nation and stealing trade secrets, among other crimes.”
WuXi’s and BGI’s US-based partnerships give them unique access to genomic data, including that of US citizens, the senators said.
“Therefore it is particularly alarming that these two companies have partnered with Huawei.”

On May 11, 1987, The London Times, one of the world's most respected newspapers, published an explosive article entitled, "Smallpox vaccine triggered AIDS virus."

The story suggested the smallpox eradication vaccine program sponsored by the WHO (World Health Organization) was responsible for unleashing AIDS in Africa. Robert Gallo, M,D., the co-discoverer of HIV, told The Times, "The link between the WHO program and the epidemic is an interesting and important hypothesis.
