Sometimes, people make the mistake of assuming that a war between a “large country” and a “small country” automatically means that the larger state must be the aggressor, and the smaller state the aggrieved party; as is the dominant narrative regarding Russia-Ukraine in western centric media.
One must completely forget Japan’s fascist barbarism against China in the Second World War, the Nazi genocide against Russia, and the brutality of British imperialism (three “small countries” in context of the states they attacked) to believe this narrative.
