Hey friends,

Happy New Year! ๐ŸŽ‰

Iโ€™ve been thinking about hope and how itโ€™s like a rope that can pull us out of tough spots. Sometimes, that rope can get frayed, and we might not always know how much we need. But when we hold onto hope and keep adding to it, it turns into a strong, long rope that helps us climb out of any pit.

So, as we move into this new year, letโ€™s make sure to hold onto hope tightly and keep strengthening it. Letโ€™s never let it fray . Have a hope in everything you do, and youโ€™ll find yourself with a sturdy rope to tackle whatever comes your way.

Hereโ€™s to a year full of hope, strength, and endless possibilities

Learn How to Learn: part one

Some people donโ€™t like eating big chunks of onion, but cooking with onions diced into tiny pieces looks more attractive, and they also cook quickly, evenly, and all the way through. Many times people donโ€™t even realize they have eaten onions after theyโ€™ve been diced small & cooked.

Believe it or not, it's the same for learning new information. If you try to learn new material in smaller chunks instead of the whole course at once, you retain the information better, and your learning builds upon each other. And even better, putting things into smaller chunks makes it easier to beat procrastination

Seriously, I earned this certificate from Baobab

The course was Learning How to Learn pretty ironic, right? ๐Ÿ˜œ

Also it offers a wealth of courses on Entrepreneurship, Transformative Leadership, Foundational Skills, and STEM Knowledge, all for free!

I believe it's primarily for Mastercard Foundation Scholars and alumni, but I think anyone can register and access the courses for free.

I thought about sharing some of the things I learned from the course with you, but I feel like Iโ€™d end up sounding like a lecturer on this channel, which is kinda weird! ๐Ÿ˜… So why donโ€™t you try them yourself?

Do you remember Chicken Little? He famously said, 'The sky is falling.' Yet for some of us, the sky is still and always falling.

Just trapped in 'what if' fears; What if you lose what you already have? What if it doesnโ€™t work? What if?

Whether you hear it from a friend, a parent, or social media... if you fall far enough into it, then I guess the sky is really falling.

At night, people fear the light will fade
while in the dark they worry it won't return.

yet some have never seen the light at all and know nothing of fear

I love Robert Kiyosaki; he once said he read The Richest Man in Babylon and, unlike many others, he turned its lessons into action. The book is like a recipe for becoming an entrepreneur perhaps I could even say, for becoming wealthy.

And now, here I am, reading it, ready to transform those powerful words into a mighty sword. A sword that will cut through my poor self, allowing me to rebuild and reshape a wealthy self from the ruins of the past.

I must say, The Richest Man in Babylon contains the best parables ever compiled into a single book. Published in 1926, it carries weighty words that are challenging to grasp. But one must persevere, for within these pages lies the path to guaranteed success, even if the road is hard.

Once I finish, I will compile the key points in simple terms. Who am I to hide knowledge when I can spread it? For in sharing wisdom, we too can grow and gain more.

I once believed knowledge was the key, but knowledge alone is like a boat on the tide. we must push it out into the ocean. And again, we must paddle deep into the water, passing through all the waves, the darkness, and the emptiness, so we can finally set foot on the land we've long wished for. Feel the wind, the sun... just to be proud and satisfied.

And once again, the boat wonโ€™t move unless we move it, unless we prepare for it, unless we take action and set ourselves on the path, surrendering ourselves to the wild unknown. Knowledge is a light, but for the blind, what can it offer?

So, my friends, take action and plant the seeds of knowledge you have even if it's little, it's enough.

Just another long post "One Goal, Many Wins"

One important thing I've learned is that most of us want to achieve many things often not just one, but several goals at once. But how do we accomplish so much at the same time? The answer is that trying to achieve separate, unrelated goals can be overwhelming. Itโ€™s difficult to spread your energy across too many areas. Instead, you should focus on one goal at a time, or better yet, connect all your goals to a common theme or purpose.

By linking your goals together, youโ€™ll feel like you're working toward a single objective, even though youโ€™re actually accomplishing multiple things. Letโ€™s take an example: imagine you want to increase your income, get in shape, and grow a social media presence. Instead of jumping from one goal to another, you could combine them.

You can start by doing something you love, like working out. While you exercise, you can read about fitness, improve your knowledge, and develop yourself. As you progress, you can share your journey and insights on social media. By being consistent with your passion for fitness, you can increase your following, grow your brand, and even find opportunities to boost your income.

I call it converging your power, focusing your energy on what you love and allowing that to naturally lead to achieving other goals. Itโ€™s about creating a system where your actions feed into multiple achievements at once, making the process more seamless and efficient.

The example may not be perfect, but you get the idea. Instead of trying to achieve your goals by doing different things or attempting too many approaches, just list your goals... select what you really love, and connect them to it. Focus on what you love, and youโ€™ll achieve all your goals through it.

Write in the comments if any of you have achieved multiple goals just by doing what you love or by simply focusing on what you can do!

If you desire to help your friend, do so in a way that doesn't bring their burden upon yourself.

Once, there was a farmer who could understand the language of animals. One evening, he overheard the ox complaining about his hard life: "I labor from morning till evening, pulling the plow. No matter the day or how tired I am, I keep working. But you," he said to the donkey, "you spend your days eating grass and lying under the tree unless you're needed."

The donkey sympathized with the ox and replied, "My friend, I know you work very hard, so I'll tell you how to get a day of rest. When the slave comes to fetch you tomorrow, lie down and pretend to be sick, so theyโ€™ll think you canโ€™t work."

The ox took the donkeyโ€™s advice. The next morning, when the slave saw the ox lying down, he reported to the farmer that the ox was too sick to plow.

The farmer said, "Then take the donkey to plow, as the work must be done."

So, all that day, the donkey, who had tried to help the ox, ended up doing his friend's work.

That night, the farmer listened again to their conversation. The ox said, "You are a true friend! Thanks to your advice, I rested all day."

The donkey, exhausted, replied, "I was foolish to help. Instead of you working, I ended up doing your job. From now on, you can pull your own plow."

And from that day forward, they spoke no more and their friendship ended.
