It was such a complicated task- I had to ask for help
Such an extraordinary interview- I hope I'll get the job
The task was so difficult- I had to ask for help
The interview was so extraordinary- I hope I'll get the job

✔️There are a number of variations on this question, some of which just ask about things such as:
📌Source control
📌Testing
📌Variable/file/class/whatever naming
📌Application architecture decisions
If your current employer does not have a source control system:
✖️Do not say, "I do not use source control" because it makes you look awful!
✔️Instead, an answer such as, "My current employer does not have a source control system, but I have used TFS at a previous employer, and I use Mercurial at home for personal projects" will be much better.
Other times, we simply have bad habits; in those cases:
✔️It is better to recognize them and show that you are trying to change them. You could say something like, "I tend to not write as many unit tests as I should, but I have been working hard to ensure greater code coverage."
✖️Don't lie about this. Employers like to find people with enough self-awareness to see and correct their flaws, and the honesty to be able to discuss them.

✔️It could well be that the formula we’ve been using to calculate investment risk is not accurate enough.
✔️The reason for the late start to the meeting was because of today’s tube strike.
✔️One possible explanation/reason for the fall in profits could be the weakness of sterling against the US dollar.
✔️Let me explain, if we were to implement the changes too soon, we’d have a huge problem on our hands.
✔️What I mean is, I don’t think we’ll get the necessary funding this year.
✔️This has been a much-needed wake-up call. In other words, it’s been a warning that was needed.
✔️Let me put it/this another way, if we don’t accept their proposals now, they’ll go somewhere else/elsewhere.
✔️Let me deal with the second point first, that is to say, the point about logistics.
✔️The thing is, there’s no simple explanation to what went wrong.
✔️Seeing as/that everyone is here, I think it’d be a good idea to tell you what’s happened.
✔️As/since (formal) the goods were damaged on arrival, I’m returning them in this package.
✔️Let me give you another example,….
✔️For example/ for instance, if you were to test the market now, you’d see there isn’t any demand for our product in its present form.

✔️Focus on making your thinking clear.
One of the reasons we often cannot explain things clearly is because our thinking is not clear.
✔️Try and write what you want to explain.
You may find that what you want to explain is not clear so writing it makes you structure your thoughts. Writing most definitely will make your thinking clearer because you’re giving yourself the time to think.
✔️Pay attention to your listener
While explaining, pay attention to the facial expressions of your listener. If they are looking confused, use this feedback to change your explaining. Don’t keep talking without looking at your listener/audience.
✔️Tell a story or give examples to make things easier to understand.
✔️Write it and record it!
What you think you said initially and what you actually communicated to others can be different so it’s worth trying this technique out

Сегодня снова #IT_interview_tips.
🤔What's the hardest challenge you have had to overcome — and how did you approach it?
Tips to follow:
✔️One of the failures I've seen in interviews is that candidates do not properly set the context of their answer. I have faced some challenges that at that point in my career were difficult but that later on were trivial. If I brought them up in an interview without explaining my experience level when they arose, it would put me in a bad light. The interviewer would be thinking, "Why would someone with his experience struggle with this?" So when you answer, give a short (one sentence) scene setup.
✔️Also, put your focus on the problem-solving steps you took, not the technical details. No one really cares if the problem turned out to be that the variable was one character shorter than the data going into it; they want to know how you did the research to discover it.
