“Speedrun Alpha” Fellowship for Technical Talent

Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) has launched Speedrun Alpha, a new early-stage fellowship for technical students and recent graduates interested in startups.

The program targets individuals even before they have a startup idea, team, or registered company.

It offers:

✅A $20,000 equity-free grant for participants building a startup at the pre-idea, pre-team, and pre-entity stage
✅Up to $250,000 in potential investment

500,000 AMD Prize Announced for Armenia’s AI Challenge

Armenia is getting its own track in OpenAI’s Parameter Golf competition, with support from Eleveight AI, YerevaNN, and YSU.

The competition focuses on building the most efficient language model under strict limits on size, compute, and training time. To support participants from Armenia, Eleveight AI is backing compute access through YSU’s supercomputer and offering a 500,000 AMD prize for the strongest local submission.

If no Armenia-based team makes the global leaderboard, an internal evaluation will determine the winner based on performance on a multilingual dataset.
