• Crisis is a wave. Every crisis (Covid, now, or next) destroys and creates. The key is to survive one more day. Resilience is everything. Software as we know it is dead — but that’s either the biggest crisis or the biggest opportunity, depending on who you are.
• Size kills imagination. Like an elephant that once failed to break a rope and later stops trying. Big companies forget what’s possible. They have muscle but lack vision.
• Play your strengths. Michael Schumacher won when it rained — he attacked when others played safe. Compete on your advantage, not their battlefield. Never outsource your brain. They once paid Deloitte €50K per country for EU expansion advice; it failed. When they did it lean and fast, it worked.
• Unifying vision. A strong vision should survive across all company stages — PMF, scale, maturity. One of their board members once refused a lucrative Rolls-Royce contract, saying: “If you take this, I walk out. If you’re everything, you’re nothing.” Later they found out that was a brilliant advice helping them to stay focused and agligned with their strategy.
• The Wall of Pain. At Dojo, they realized customers didn’t love them like Apple customers did. They filled an entire wall listing pain points. That brutal honesty led to building a new payments system from scratch — clean architecture, customer-first design, and lasting competitive edge.
• Killer GMs. The “extreme owners” of the business are the rare people who take full responsibility. When you find one, give them everything they need. They combine killer instinct with extreme humility.
• Team ≠ Family. A startup isn’t a family. It’s more like a football team. You’re here to win. Push people out of their comfort zones. Fire when you must.

Adam Kablanian was honored with the Medal of Gratitude as a recognition of his lasting contribution to the development of Armenia’s high-tech industry.

Some of Adam's achievemnets:
- He co-founded and led Virage Logic in 1996, which went public on NASDAQ in 2000 and grew to 700+ employees (now part of Synopsys).
- He later led other deep-tech ventures, including PlasmaSi (OLED encapsulation), Cynora GmbH (TADF OLED materials).
- He’s not only tech: In 2017 he founded Alexandrea Winery in Armenia, blending heritage and innovation in viticulture.
