A lonely monkey Punch from a Japanese zoo has captured the hearts of users on social networks.

The little macaque was born a year ago and from the very first days was left without a mother — she had to be fed by zoo staff.

After Punch was returned to the general group at Monkey Mountain, the adaptation turned out to be difficult. To help the baby cope with stress, he was given a plush toy, which he now almost never leaves.

A whole community of support has formed around Punch — the zoo even reported donations from concerned users. The staff notes that Punch is gradually being mastered.

"Every day he gets a diverse experience: he gets licked, he gets played with, he gets scolded, and he learns to live in a group every day," the zoo noted.
New photos of Punch macaque have appeared on the web, and this time they cause emotion among users, not sadness.

A macaque named Punch, who used to feel lonely, has finally found a friend. The older monkey accepted him, and now they spend time together. The pictures show Punch and his new friend sitting next to each other, enjoying each other's company.

Punch became a loner because his birth mother did not accept him at an early age, and the staff of the institution took over the care of the baby. He never managed to fully integrate into the monkey group.
