“I have to admit, I always wondered what this part of Psalm 23 meant. I thought “He anoints my head with oil” was figurative language for God keeping the Psalmist healthy. I never knew this parallel.
Anoint my head with oil
“Sheep can get their head caught in briers and die trying to get untangled. There are horrid little flies that like to torment sheep by laying eggs in their nostrils which turn into worms and drive the sheep to beat their head against a rock, sometimes to death. Their ears and eyes are also susceptible to tormenting insects. So the shepherd anoints their whole head with oil. Then there is peace. That oil forms a barrier of protection against the evil that tries to destroy the sheep. Do you have times of mental torment? Do the worrisome thoughts invade your mind over and over? Do you beat your head against a wall trying to stop them? Have you ever asked God to anoint your head with oil? He has an endless supply! His oil protects and makes it possible for you to fix your heart, mind, and eyes on Him today and always! There is peace in the valley! May our good good Father anoint your head with oil today so that your cup overflows with blessings! God is good and He is faithful!!”

So MANY things happening..
REALLY good things!!
really bad things.
What should I do?
Well it’s actually simple.
First. Pray without ceasing.
Second. Tell the Truth. Everywhere (without offense to the best of your ability).
Third. Seek wholesomeness truth, beauty and honor.
And in all things acknowledge the author of your wellness..
I have friends that have been preppers my whole life, my whole adult life anyway it really rose to prominence with the Y2K turn-of-the-century computer glitch fiasco..
Then 911
Then the 2008 banking collapse/mortgage meltdown
Then the absolute shit show of Barry Obama
Then the strange shift that took place in 2016 on the stage of Trump‘s inauguration.
Then four years of attack
Then four years of deception
And now, where are we?
I hope there are really big things taking place behind the scenes designed to restore Republican governance in the United States.. (I see some evidence).
It starts with an army of one.
Me… You…
Don’t be quiet..
Tell everyone you know what you believe and why you believe it..
To the best of your ability don’t be afraid.. put on the whole armor of God and let him be your protection..
Read your Bible and fellowship with other Christians to strengthen yourself..
And don’t worry…
It’s not the military that will save us. (they need our prayers ) It’s God.
He will not be mocked.
Do I believe what I just said.
I do.
Do I falter in that belief?
I do.
Do I falter in my trust of God?
I do not.
One of my favorite stories in the Bible is Shadrach Meshach and Abendigo.

What path is the Lord trying to lead us down? Do we reject it if it looks scary to us? What would happen if we trusted Him to lead us through?
Have you noticed that those who walked closest with the Lord in the Bible experienced extraordinary things?
Daniel had an angel come speak with him and tell him things to come, David faced Goliath and watched him fall, Steven saw the heavens opened and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, Peter walked on water to Jesus, Elijah was taken up into heaven in a chariot...
All these people in the Bible had something in common: they dared to trust God and obey His command, even if it made no earthly sense.
My friends, God does not fit into our "box." If we want a life where the limitations are removed, we must accept and embrace the knowledge that we serve a limitless God. He can do anything. He is a great God, and He wants to take us to higher heights in Him! Our part is to put our trust in Him, and let go of our own understanding. I'll say it again: we must let go of our own understanding, and embrace His wisdom.
Let's pray:
Father God, we acknowledge that You are omnipotent! We acknowledge that You love us, and that the plans You have for us are to prosper us and not to harm us. Your plans for us are to give us hope and a future. Help us to let go of our own understanding. Help us to let go of the limits we have placed on our own lives. Help us to fully embrace surrender to You. Oh the heights You want to take us to! Don't leave us in our comfort zone. Help us to shake off the complacency in our lives. Make us dissatisfied with the status quo. Give us the grace to live an extraordinary life in You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen!❤️

Hi Friends!
Our internet was out yesterday from 8-5 and today I had to turn it off after our UPS fizzled, automatically shutting down my PC in the midst of my working. (My PC being the brains of the whole operation here so I often feel like a character from Little House when there's no Wi-fi 😁)
By "working" I mean I was fluttering between tasks, doing about 10% homeschool'ish stuff for our homeschool organization, 50% my stuff, and 40% goofing off. It's how I roll 🙂
I continue to dig deep with the LORD, rooting out the yuck inside my heart. Amazing that it's mostly been cathartic. Of course, that is solely due to His Peace that He generously shares.
My brain tends to run like a squirrel hyped up on donuts and coffee, and the LORD has faithfully been providing me ideas so... I've been particularly exhausted lately 🤪
Not sure where to start with all that needs to be done. Can you relate?
Between the Heart Cleaning and Ideas and To Do's, I am steadily fulfilling my goal this year to welcome Peace and Eliminate Stress. I hope you share that goal as well.
An idea I have each year is to post at least one autumn-related graphic a day until the First Day of Winter. I mean, I have no less than 7 billion graphics saved because you know, Squirrel Brain. Plus I adore Autumn. What do you think? Can my cookie-addled-squirrel-brain maintain it? 😃
Something that gives me relief whenever I feel a wee bit concerned I am not Doing Enough For My Social Media Presence is that I actually am doing what God called me to do: just be me.
And I get to be me with those who are comfortable hanging out in this Tiny Little Corner of Internet World 😊
Thank you, Friends, from the bottom of my heart for cozying up here.
It's a remarkable time to be online, together, is it not?
How is the Official First Day of Autumn finding you?

Update
David here. Words can’t express how thankful I am for your prayers, letters of encouragement, and donations to cover medical expenses.
I have had much time to reflect. Each breath and heartbeat a gift from God. This is the first time in my life where I have felt old. A pause to catch a breath I didn’t know I needed. Short walks around the block with my bride. Longer looks at my children. I have found myself tearing up uncontrollably for no reason other than simple gratitude. I resolve to fight the “old man” and be of service again.
I met with my surgeon this morning. He told me more about what happened. A miracle. An orchestra of variables. One missing from the puzzle and I would not be here. 100% blockage in the artery known as the “widow maker” — now stented. I have two more arteries with 60% and 70% blockage.
The surgeon wants to see if we can reverse damage to my heart and heal without another surgery. Right now my heart is at about 45% strength of where it should be. I begin cardiac rehab.
The how and why of what occurred is a long story. Here is the cliff’s notes version: Pre-Jesus, I lived a very hard life. Drugs, alcohol, and a self-induced cardiac arrest at the age of 21, left me with a bum ticker. For several years, I was a pack a day smoker. And for several years after my spiritual conversion, through trial and error, I worked on daily “sanctification” trying to eliminate vices I still carried.
A severe back injury in 2008 left me restless for a decade, with numbness in my right leg and foot, until I found a radical restrictive diet that helped with inflammation, but may have elevated cholesterol. My career as a prosecutor left me on call around the clock, and my performance was fueled by pots of coffee, which led to arrhythmia, heart murmurs, and prayer that God would provide healing.
The last six years compounded what was already there. Employment termination, public slander, constant lawfare from the BAR, cabin burnt to crisp under mysterious circumstances, and travel that averaged over a hundred flights a year to 49 states, with thousands of meetings. I have felt mild strain and pressure in my chest for sometime. 2021 was especially difficult.
I have generally held the medical profession at arm’s length my whole life. I’ve been to the doctor maybe three times in my adult life. As my heart symptoms worsened, however, COVID-19 hysteria and adherence to protocols that murdered patients was the primary reason I would not enter a doctor’s office.
I knew it was just a matter of time that something would give, but set aside those concerns, praying that our country would see free and fair elections, J6ers would be restored, and that I’d have more time.
And then I didn’t.
I went through a door to “the other side” after dying on the table. In a single moment, I left behind my children, and being a father was an impossibility. Being a husband—gone. I left ambition behind, dreams behind, shame and condemnation behind. Bills, petty fights, bruised ego, all made inconsequential. Such finality.
After a few minutes of being in the hereafter, I was jolted back by paddles, hearing the surgical team exclaim “we brought him back! David you are back with us….”
It’s with this that I say I won’t be making a public appearance for a while, and won’t be doing social media, or interviews, for the foreseeable future. I believe God wants me to be still, speak less, and not waste anything, including my words.
Just know I read your comments, am so thankful for you, and believe God has a purpose for me down the road.
Lord willing, I will focus on writing and producing Professor’s Record episodes, doing rehab, and nothing else. I’m sorry to disappoint anyone. I just don’t have much left in me at the moment, and it saddens me to say that. Being able to grind was my superpower.
Last thing. On the table, one is confronted with the question of all questions.
Is He (Christ) real?
Yes. So much so, that you realize what grieves Him. Forgiveness is so important.

He died for you and me. He forgave you and me. Don’t cheapen what He did on the cross, by refusing to carry a cross of your own. Love the unloveable, forgive the unforgivable, because one day, you are going through that door.
Love you all.
