Re: Lockdown Policy

I am just writing to share with you that this week in tutor groups we are spending some time discussing our recently reviewed and updated lockdown policy.

Our tutors will explain to students the processes and procedures that will take place in the unlikely event that there is an incident in school that prompts a full or partial school lockdown.

The policy is in draft form currently but when it is signed off by governors it will be shared with parents and added to our website.

We will be practicing the process in the same way that we practice our fire drill, but please be assured that we will not be running any practices during exam season. For those students that suffer with anxiety, we will support them as we do currently in our fire drill evacuation procedures

🚨REVEALED: 300 Boeing planes used by United and American Airlines have potentially fatal fault that could cause jets to EXPLODE mid-air - in latest blow for scandal-hit company

The issue involved an electrical fault on the company's 777 jets that could cause fuel tanks on the planes' wings to catch fire and explode.

Discovery of the flaw exposes that nearly 300 more Boeing planes are potentially at risk, including jets used by United and American Airlines, according to the notice by the Federal Aviation Administration.

The FAA reported the issue in March and requested that Boeing and other outside experts respond by May 9, but it remains unclear if the company has done so.
