Since people are unlikely to be informed from any official quarter, I want to announce that the Supreme Court has given Gemma O’Doherty and me permission for a full hearing of our application, not just keeping our case alive but acknowledging the significance of what we’ve raised. It gives us the opportunity to appeal to the SC the decisions of the lower courts not to grant us leave for Judicial Review, essentially overturning those decisions and allowing us to confront the government with the onus on them to demonstrate that the lockdown was justified and proportionate. The decision was made by a panel of the Supreme Court, including the Chief Justice, which has offered us a full hearing in that court next year to inquire into the rejection of our application. The 3 person panel found that we have raised important issues of a constitutional nature, so the government/State will now have to attend next year a full hearing of the SC to explain itself. We have 15 weeks to make further submissions and there will be a full hearing, probably coming into the summer of 22. Thanks to all for your support. John Waters
