Maxie Allen and Rosalind Levine, parents of a nine-year-old girl, were arrested by six Hertfordshire police officers on January 29, 2025, after they complained about the teacher recruitment process at their daughter's primary school, Cowley Hill Primary, in a parents' WhatsApp group. They were held in police cells for 11 hours on suspicion of harassment, malicious communications, and causing a nuisance on school property, but no further action was taken after a five-week investigation concluded there was no case to answer.
