The UK Government is about to pass an insane law that will be the final nail in the coffin of the UK. It enables land seizures, total removal of hydrocarbons, unlimited funding, all of it.
The 'Climate and Nature Bill' is due to be debated on Jan 24th and without significant pushback it will almost certainly pass.
