yes, some precious UK academics actually had a bunch of schmucks breathe into bags, measured the gas composition of their exhalations, then divided the participants into "methane producers" (MPs) & "non methane producers." leaving aside the obvious joke about Members of Parliament being full of hot air, their pearl-clutching conclusion was that while British breathers may produce just 0.1% of the UK's total nitrous oxide emissions and 0.05% of its methane NOW, that number might increase in the future as the population is nudged (i.e. coerced, pressured, forced) into an exclusively herbivorous (or insectivorous) diet.
while the ruling class has made no secret of its resentment over the unwashed masses breathing their air, this is perhaps their most transparent expression of such, thinly swaddled in bogus "science" - 328 people is not a valid sample size for something like this, especially bc the researchers themselves admit they have no idea why some people are "MPs" & some aren't. they even admit that according to their measurements, the presence or absence of methane in exhalations had no correlation with diet, though they still used that nonexistent correlation as the premise for their doomsday conclusions...
