“Moon Rock”
Get this; there have been at least five instances where supposed "moon rocks" were discovered to be petrified wood. These include a treasured piece at the Dutch national museum, a rock supposedly brought back from the moon by U.S. astronauts, and a "lunar rock" given to Holland by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin.
There are at least 270 Apollo “moon rocks” that were given to nations around the world by the Nixon Administration. However, approximately 180 of these rocks are unaccounted for, and many of the rocks that are accounted for have been locked away in storage for decades. They’re probably legit though. 👍🏼
