#Apple CEO Tim Cook might resign this year.
Tim became CEO in August of 2011, after Steve Jobs resigned. He helped transform Apple into a company valued at $4 trillion, launching new product categories like the Apple Watch and Apple Vision Pro. But now, reports indicate that it's time for him to leave the prestigious position.
Reports indicate that he has told executives that he could resign sometime in 2026. However, according to a new report from Bloomberg, there are no signs within Apple that Tim might resign soon.
In any case, the most likely candidate for Apple's next CEO is John Ternus. The same report reveals that, at the end of last year, Tim quietly asked him to oversee the company's design department, acting as an "executive sponsor". Notably, this is a role reserved for the company's most prominent figures: after Jony Ive left in 2019, it has been overseen by COO Jeff Williams from 2019 to 2025, and it has been overseen by Cook himself from 2015 to 2017. Bloomberg also claims that Cook is trying to expose Ternus to more parts of the company’s operations.

It finally happened: #YouTube on #Apple Vision Pro.
At launch, there was no official YouTube app for Apple's spatial computing headsets, leading to numerous workarounds and third party apps appearing on the App Store. Now, 2 years later, Google released it.
This app supports 360-degree and 180-degree videos, as well as normal videos, 3D videos and Shorts. On Vision Pro models with M5, the app supports 8K playback. The UI is quite similar to the YouTube app for Google's own Android XR.
YouTube is available now on the App Store for Apple Vision.

#Apple announces its next 'Apple Experience' event.
The event will take place in Apple stores in New York, Shanghai and London on March 4.
Unlike the traditional Apple keynotes, which take place in Apple Park and are live-streamed, Apple Experience events are small scale events where journalists and content creators get to experience upcoming Apple products. The last Apple Experience marked the announcement of the Apple Creator Studio bundle.
Meanwhile, this Apple Experience will reportedly be where the iPhone 17e and a new budget MacBook are announced. Notably, the invite - often a hint at what's to come - is multi-colored, and rumors indicate that the upcoming entry level MacBook will also have multiple color options.

#Meta's Horizon Worlds metaverse is getting separated from Quest.
Meta's flagship metaverse platform - as a reminder, the company rebranded to Meta to focus on developing the metaverse - is becoming "almost exclusively mobile". This change started in 2025, and now, it's the company's main focus. Horizon Worlds will also be explicitly separated from the Quest VR platform. This comes after layoffs in the metaverse division and an announcement that the default home screen on Quest headsets will be replaced with the Navigator view.
However, Meta isn't giving up on Quest - in fact, while VR hasn't grown as quickly as Meta had hoped, it believes in VR "as a critical technology on the path to the next computing platform". To that end, the company is focused on supporting third party developers and has future hardware on the roadmap.
