It's finally official: Galaxy XR, #Samsung's latest XR headset.

After numerous teasers and leaks, Samsung released Galaxy XR, previously known as Project Moohan. While this isn't the first VR headset from Samsung - they also released the Gear VR line of accessories and an Odyssey branded Windows headset - it's the latest one and Samsung's answer to Apple Vision Pro.

Galaxy XR is designed with ergonomics in mind, with a light shield and an external battery. At 545g, it's lighter than Apple's Vision Pro spatial computer. The displays have a higher resolution too, and it's powered by Qualcomm's most powerful XR chip.

Galaxy XR is also the first headset with Android XR and Samsung's One UI XR interface. Apps optimized for Android XR include YouTube, Google Photos and Circle to Search.

An unexpected twist: #Apple's new Siri reportedly powered by Google.

An improved version of Siri was one of the first Apple Intelligence features to be announced, way back at WWDC 2024. But, while the other features were released, the updated version of Siri was repeatedly delayed.

But a new report from Bloomberg tells how Apple might resolve this issue: a $1 billion per year contract with Google to use a 1.2 trillion parameter AI model, likely similar to the company's Gemini series.

Parameters measure an AI model's understanding, and more parameters generally mean a more capable model. In contrast, Apple Intelligence is currently powered by a 580 billion parameter model, but Apple is developing a 1 trillion model that could be ready as soon as 2026.

The updated Siri is rumored to be released in an iOS 26.4 update in the spring of 2026.

#Apple's latest product: a... fashion accessory?

Yes, Apple is releasing another strap for its phones, after the one that was launched with iPhone 17. However, this new strap is more reminiscent of the iPod Socks, launched over 21 years ago.

iPhone Pocket is a collaboration between Apple and design studio ISSEY MIYAKE. It's a textile strap that was "born from the idea of creating an additional pocket" and expresses "the joy of wearing iPhone in your own way." Advertising quotes aside, it's available in 7 colors and 2 variants: a short version and a long version. The short version costs $149.95, while the long one will set you back $229.95.

Both variants will be available beginning November 14 in select Apple Stores.
