The first change users will notice in One UI 7 are the redesigned icons, which have 3D elements. The Gallery and Camera icons have changed completely, now looking more like Apple's, while other icons received minor updates.

In this screenshot, a stopwatch indicator can be seen in the top right corner. Such indicators are rumored to be Samsung's answer to Apple's Dynamic Island and Live Activities, showing status for some features. They can already be seen in One UI for calls.
This is One UI 7, with a brand new, yet familiar design.

Leaked screenshots and information about the new version of One UI, #Samsung's version of Android, were shared by Chun Bhai and Ice universe.

These screenshots reveal that One UI 7 will have a completely new design that's heavily inspired by iOS. This could be a response to Samsung losing market share to Apple in its home country of South Korea. Ice universe claims that One UI 7 will have ultra-smooth animations similar to those seen in iOS, and that beta testing will start soon.

One UI 7 will likely be announced at SDC 2024, alongside the XR headset Samsung is building together with Qualcomm and Google. SDC 2024 takes place on October 8.

Leaked ads for the #Pixel 9 series reveal new AI features.

OnLeaks has obtained 2 ads for the upcoming phones - one advertising the entire series and another advertising the Pixel 9.

Both ads start with a demo of Gemini suggesting a recipe based on a photo of ingredients. Then, the Pixel Screenshots feature, which is Google's rumored answer to Microsoft Recall, is revealed. Pixel Screenshots will show a list of screenshots tagged with apps they were taken in and a search bar. The ads show someone searching for a hair style someone named Alex sent them, and Pixel Screenshots showing a screenshot from their conversation with Alex about that hair style. Unlike Recall, Pixel Screenshots only works on screenshots that people have taken themselves.

Then, the series ad shows the "pro level camera" of the Pro models with Super Res Zoom Video at up to 20x range. Then, Add Me is revealed. Add Me can be used to add someone to a photo by asking to take another photo and merging the 2 photos, likely using Google AI. The Pixel 9 ad instead shows Magic Editor being able to "reimagine" a photo based on a prompt, hinting that Add Me and Super Res Zoom Video are likely not available on it.

Finally, the ads show that the Pixel 9 series is guaranteed to receive 7 years of updates. The Pixel 9 ad reveals that Pixel Feature Drops might be rebranded to "Pixel Drops". The series ad instead confirms that there will be 2 sizes for the Pro model. An earlier leak confirms that the larger model will be called the Pixel 9 Pro XL and that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be released alongside the other Pro models.
#Apple Intelligence is now available in beta.

Developer betas of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1 and macOS 15.1 include a preview of Apple Intelligence, the company's suite of AI-powered features.

Apple Intelligence is designed to be private - using the powerful Neural Engine and switching to Apple's servers powered by Apple silicon for larger models - and personal, thanks to a semantic index built on device.

Features available in the first beta include:
- The all-new Siri, which remembers the entire conversation, understands what's on the screen and has better language understanding,

- Smart Reply in Messages and Mail,

- Writing tools that can summarize or rewrite text,

- A summary tool in Safari,

- Summaries of phone calls,

- A "Priority Notifications" focus mode.

Apple Intelligence is currently only available in English in the US and has a waitlist.
The #iPhone 16's colors - revealed.

Sonny Dickson posted this photo of iPhone 16 dummy units to social media. You might remember him from the old days, as he shared photos of the iPhone 5s and 5c before those phones were announced.

This photo confirms the new vertical camera arrangement seen in previous renders. Reportedly, this is because Apple wants to enable Spatial Video recording on all iPhone 16 models.

Compared to iPhone 15 colors, the new colors are more saturated. Also, there is no yellow model, and a white model can be seen instead.

Leaked ad of the #Pixel 9 Pro Fold appears.

A few days ago, OnLeaks (via Android Headlines) leaked the ads of the Pixel 9, 9 Pro and 9 Pro Fold. Now, they shared an ad of the 4th member of the Pixel 9 series - the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, albeit in German.

This ad starts by showing the new 8" inner screen. Then, Gemini is shown being used on it alongside Messages, then being replaced by Google Meet. After that, the updated Magic Editor is shown, after being revealed in the previous leak. The new version will be able to reimagine a photo based on a prompt.

Finally, the ad claims that Pixel 9 Pro Fold is thinner and lighter than Pixel Fold. A close-up of the hinge reveals that the screen folds completely flat. Unlike the other ads, this one makes no mention of Pixel Drops or update periods, though Pixel 9 Pro Fold will likely have 7 years of OS upgrades, security updates and Pixel Drops too.

And speaking of updates, an earlier rumor claims that Pixel 9 series phones will come with Android 14 instead of the upcoming Android 15, while the ad shows the updated Android 15 taskbar. This means that Android 15 will likely be a day one update for the new phones.

With specs, official renders and ads being leaked, the only thing remaining is the phone's price. That too leaked today - Pixel 9 Pro Fold is priced at $1,799 for 256GB and $1,919 for 512GB of storage.
