The headset is powered by Apple's M2 chip with an R1 co-processor. R1 processes data from the headset's TrueDepth cameras and LiDAR (a total of 12 cameras) and shows images on the headset with virtually no latency, reducing motion sickness.
Apple Vision Pro starts at $3499 and is available in the US only early next year.

This is #Meta's answer to Twitter.

Screenshots of a new social media app based on Instagram were shared by The Verge. The app is codenamed "Project 92", and might be called "Threads" when it releases. Meta execs call it "our response to Twitter".

The app will be compatible with the ActivityPub decentralized social media protocol, which is already used by several federated social networks like Mastodon and Pixelfed.

Meta chief product officer Chris Cox said that the company will be making the app available "as soon as we can", and that celebrities like DJ Slime are committed to using the app. The social media company is in discussions with other celebrities like TV host Oprah Winfrey and the Dalai Lama regarding the new app.
End of an era - #Intel is dropping the "i" from the names of its Core processors.

Starting with the Meteor Lake generation, set to be released in the second half of 2023, Intel Core processors will no longer have an "i" in their names - now it's just Intel Core 3, 5 and 7.

Why? According to Intel executives, it's because the name of the processors was often shortened to just the last part (e.g. simply "i7"), leaving out the Intel brand name.

High-end processors with Arc-level integrated graphics, AI capabilities and the "absolute best performance" will be branded as Intel Core Ultra 5, 7 and 9. Additionally, to not confuse customers, the generation is no longer advertised - an example of a new CPU's full name is "Intel Core 5 processor 1050U".
#Galaxy Watch will soon show irregular heart rhythm notifications.

Samsung has recently received medical approval to launch irregular heart rhythm notifications (IHRN). This feature can detect heart rate patterns that indicate atrial fibrillation, a heart health issue that some other smart watches, like the Apple Watch, already detect.

The feature will be launched this summer in Argentina, Azerbaijan, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Georgia, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Panama, UAE, as well as Korea and the U.S. It's coming first to "upcoming Galaxy Watch devices", presumably referring to the Galaxy Watch6 lineup, and then to the Galaxy Watch4 and Watch5 series with One UI Watch 5.
The first official images of the #Galaxy Z Flip5 and Fold5 have leaked.

Shared by MySmartPrice, the seemingly official renders show the upcoming foldable phones.

The Galaxy Z Fold5 render shows the phone in a light blue color with a new, gapless hinge, showing what looks like the Samsung Notes app.

The Galaxy Z Flip5 renders show 2 black phones with a silver frame. The larger cover display shows a photo and a new music player widget.

Yes, Stories are coming to #Telegram.

Telegram founder Pavel Durov posted about the feature on his channel, saying that more than half of the feature requests that Telegram receives are about stories. Initially, the team was against adding this feature, but during internal testing even the most skeptical members of Telegram's team liked it.

Stories on Telegram are private, with granular privacy controls that are available for most other features in the messenger: they can be seen by either anyone, all contacts, selected contacts or a list of "Close Friends". Users choose if a story expires in 6, 12, 24 or 48 hours - or permanent. They will be placed in an expandable section at the top of the chat list and have "powerful photo and video-editing tools", likely referring to the existing editing tools in the Telegram app.

For channels an option to share posts to stories will be launched later.

Stories are "in their last testing phase" and will become available in early July.

Mark Zuckerberg will be fighting #Elon Musk.

And we aren't talking about Meta competing with Twitter - the two billionaires will be fighting each other in an MMA fight.

It all started from Elon Musk's response to news about "Project 92", the rumored Twitter competitor from Instagram, saying that he's ready to fight #Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Mark replied to him in an Instagram story, saying "Send me location". Elon replied with 2 words: "Vegas Octagon".

Not much else is known about the fight.
#Apple might be making a smart monitor.

Mark Gurman shared on his newsletter Power On (via The Verge) that Apple may be planning a display with behavior completely independent from a Mac. This will be possible with a custom Apple silicon chip.

This will allow the display to have smart display features. According to The Verge, the new feature sounds a lot like StandBy on iOS 17, which was initially rumored for the iPad.

The tech company is rumored to be working on a 27-inch mini-LED display and an updated version of the Pro Display XDR, with possibly the ability to summon Siri from the displays themselves.
