#twitter has relaunched Blue with verification.

The subscription now costs $8/month for web and $11/month for iOS, and verification now requires a verified phone number. The rest of the features remain the same.

Along with the changes to verification the company has launched 2 new types of badges - a gold one for companies and a gray one for government accounts.
#apple may allow sideloading of apps on iOS, to comply with the EU's Digital Markets Act.

This will allow developers to offer downloads of apps through their sites and not pay Apple's 30% fee for paid apps or in-app purchases.

The company has supposedly never allowed sideloading because of security reasons. To solve this Apple is working on a verification process for 3rd party apps, and a "Certified" badge for apps that go through it.

#Samsung revealed the world's first dual 4K monitor.

Because the Odyssey Neo G9, revealed at #CES2023, can only be truly described as that. It's an 8K monitor with a 32:9 aspect ratio, essentially making it as wide as 2 4K monitors.

The 57-inch monitor can be considered as a successor to last year's Odyssey Ark. It supports HDR and has a 240Hz refresh rate.

Alongside the Neo G9 the company announced the smaller Odyssey OLED G9, which has the same refresh rate and aspect ratio, albeit using OLED instead of Mini-LED technology for a near-infinite color contrast ratio.

And that's not all: spinning the pedals will generate electricity. One hour of exercise at 60 RPM will generate 75 watts of electricity, which can be used to charge a laptop, phone or another device.

The eKinekt features an adjustable table and has 2 modes: Sports Mode, where the desk is further forward for more room for exercise, and Working Mode, where the desk is closer to the user for more comfortable typing. The desk also has an app which tracks riding distance, speed and calories burned.

The new desk will be available in June, at $999.
