#apple's Tim Cook claimed that the company isn't going to use the term #metaverse to describe their AR/VR efforts, because he claimed that the term "metaverse" isn't something average people really understand. He also claimed that people likely won't spend much time in VR in the future.

Apple is building AR/VR glasses that reportedly have an M1 chip and run "realityOS".

Edit: an earlier version claimed that Apple isn't working on a metaverse in general, which is false.
