I have been seeing many students asking questions about " how to start preparations ?"

You will need Dental Decks to start with. The time you need to spend on this varies as per your graduation year. ( You can find the pdfs in the Group's file section, members of the group have added them )

If you happen to be a recent graduate, do not vest more than 2 months in reading through entire Dental Decks.

If you graduated way back, and feel like you have lost a touch on Basics, vest 4 months in preparing from DD, and build up your basics.

Few things that you need to practice daily throughout the preparation

1. Devote a minimum of 4 hours for your studies during the first phase of your preparation.

2. Practice daily by attempting questions. It has been made a lot more easier now, as members of the group actively share questions on the group.

3. Do not worry if a member has posted a question on Oral Surgery and you have not read that subject yet. Try to answer that with a rationale, if you are not able to do that, read through the comments/discussions to know what other members are thinking. It will help you in knowing what to emphasize upon when you reach the DD of that subject.

4. To help every student prepare with ease and crack this exam, I have been releasing Individual Subject tests on The Study Boards. You can inbox the page directly if you wish to take a particular test the following week and if majority of students have requested for that test, we will release it on Common Boards. ( This is FREE and you need not pay anyone ).

5. Every alternate week, Master Diagnosis Series is released for FREE so that students who are aiming for exam feel confident on Day 2 of the exam. Many of the students, are fearful about Day 2 as we do not have enough sources to prepare from unlike Day 1 wherein multiple files are available. So feel free to participate in this and practice. Take a close look at the posts we release so that you do not miss out on any. You can follow any post that we release, by either commenting on it or by Liking the post, You will get notification of all our comments after that.

6. Feel free to tag members who are active. Everyone here is trying to go hand in hand and help. So if you do not understand anything, feel free to tag and request for an explanation. Always try to be polite while asking for the same, as your friends will appreciate and help you accordingly. I have seen many students reply in comments by " SOURCE?????" , EXPLAIN ??? . This looks rude, and you may not get desired answer back.

7. Do not waste money opting for coaching or guidance. There is whole lot of individuals targeting students for making money. Have confidence in yourself. You aced the Part 1, and Part 2 is no Rocket science.

You need any help, any guidance, the door is always open !!! Go for it ! Rise and Shine !
I wanted to share an important post that we will be discussing tomorrow in the lecture. Briefly go through this picture and understand the definition of screening, Brief intervention and referral to treatment. I hope all of you learned very well today on NSAIDs. Few topics are still left And we will wrap it up tomorrow. Many queries were coming regarding master the caapid application. I'm planning to launch it this week. It's always going to be more beneficial if you have written down something for yourself already, and we are working on improving your current personal statement. Writing a personal statement from scratch is going to take time, therefore have this in your mind, If you want your statement of purpose to be written from scratch, It will take at least 3 to 4 weeks to be finalized.

✔️The lectures are being conducted for *FREE* out of my daily time. Please spare time in leaving positive feedback for TSB Facebook Page as we want the 5 Star Rating back.  If you want any feature on TSB, which other platforms provide, please let me know, and I will make it happen for you.

✔️Live Tests, Daily Tests, Rapid Fire Tests, and Weekly Master Test Series are extremely important tests and MUST be done every day without fail. It does not matter whether you pass or fail in this. Attempt them daily, make sure you do not commit the same mistake again, and I assure you that you will be a master in a month.

✔️Facebook Group Discussions are crucial in revisions. Make sure you participate in what other aspirants are posting - Min of 30 minutes every day.

✔️It does not matter whether you have finished that subject or not. You can read the comments by other students and then post the answer. No issues on that front, but participation is a must. Do not just write A, C, B - write down the full option.

✔️Record Reviews (RR) - Record Reviews are an extremely important part of your preparation. Ensure you email support@thestudyboards.com with the subject of the email " Record Review 1" or "Record Review 2," whichever you have pending. Specify your concerns in the body of the email. This RR helps you stay in touch with me throughout the course, and if deemed necessary, a few changes will be suggested to you based on your performance.

✔️Lectures are separate entities - do not confuse them with Premium Boards. Premium Boards will help you crack the exam and not 1.5 hours of lectures over the weekends. It is not possible to cover 13+ subjects in the form of lectures alongside the depth required for apt understanding.

🌟Do not forget to review the Facebook Page. We must get 5 Star rating back. Here is the link

An easy way to recommend TSB is by writing " We love The Study Boards because ___ "

🟢Once done, please revert back to me by acknowledging. " I understand all the points mentioned above and have done the Review on Facebook as well."

_Regards,_

I highly doubt wrapping up Oral Pathology tomorrow, but I will try my best. If not, I don't mind stretching it further to next week, especially when we know the importance of the subject. I have not removed the Medical Emergencies exam yet. Take it , if you haven't done it so far.

See you tomorrow
Dear TSB Fam,

Please pay attention. There is a change of schedule for tomorrow's class. It is at 8:30 AM CST instead of the usual 9 AM CST. Check your timezones appropriately.

Discussion Post

Like this post for tomorrow's discussion.

Sue the Dentist - Assignment
All of you must come up with scenarios (based upon Ethical Principles) and think like a lawyer. You will frame a case and see how you can sue the dentist as a lawyer. Examples will be discussed in the class tomorrow.

Missing Oral Pathology - Assignment
It is still pending for most of you. I had asked you to post 1 case based upon the teachings in the class but most of you have not done the same. Spare some time in doing that as the Oral Pathology Mega Test will be based upon this. If this is not accomplished, I will not be releasing any exam based upon no interest shown by aspirants. If you want to learn, please contribute back.

Premium Boards Students
Premium Boards Aspirants have been emailed regarding the Lecture Links. So make sure you read that email. It has a heading " "February 4th Announcement ". All aspirants must prioritize the emails from support@thestudyboards.com so that they do not go into the spam/junk folder.

Again, Lecture Starts at 8:30 AM CST and we will start taking students in the class at 8:15 AM CST.
Registration is now open again! 🦷🌎 you can register now for the upcoming lecture this Friday February 11th 4:30 pm EST
