#Democracy (Ancient Greek: Dēmokratía) dictates that the "dêmos", (common people) have a majority say over that of elected officials. If today's leaderships were "democratic," they'd recognise the desires of the populace as opposed to the nefarious few pulling their strings.

During my visit to the British Museum, I took many images. This amazing Celtic piece is said to be dated 250-75BC and is named the Cleveton Gold Tore. It was found in #Cleveton, #Somerset during the 19th century. I shall post many more like it in the near future.

Today, we visited BJ's where Nathan (owner) joined us for a long conversation about the trade both past and present. His part in this short video is brief. He joined us for a long chat off camera. We hope to hear and see more from Nathan and others like him in the future and may release a few clips as he was OK with it being recorded. Thank you all for the support. Be sure to seek out pie and mash shops as, like our pubs, they're worth saving. 🤝🍻

The Dunstable Swan Jewel is a gold and enamel brooch in the form of a swan made in #England or /France about the year 1400. Excavated in 1965 in #Dunstable Friary, #Bedfordshire, it is presumed to have be an intended livery badge given by an important figure to his supporters.
