Once, people were genuinely lucky to be alive, or at least they thought they were. Now, there's absolutely no light at the end of the tunnel for a youth burdened in the knowledge that they'll never truly own enough to leave a worthwhile legacy, for themselves or those they love.

Few fathom how many great people & households we lost during huge wars. The middle classes who served as officers during #WW1/#WW2 would have been Oxford graduate poets, inventors & so on. Instead they died in their millions, leaving their property & legacy, free for the taking.
