On this day:
In 1806 Lord Horatio Nelson, naval commander and hero of the Battle of Trafalgar, was buried beneath the dome of St Paul's cathedral, in London, after a grand and solemn procession along the river to Whitehall and thence to the city.
Regularly regarded as one of Britain's finest naval commanders, Nelson heroically faced his death at the hand of French sharpshooter during the Battle of Trafalgar (21 October 1805) aboard his prised ship the HMS Victory. His signal just prior to the commencement of the battle "England expects that every man will do his duty" is often quoted and paraphrased with a great patriotic spirit.
His memory is firmly, and rightly so, ingrained into the psyche of the english and all who respect the lives of historymakers.
May his greatness not be forgotten.

Editing a video on King James III & his son, James VI of #Scotland and this is what I find in Google images. The historical accuracy depicted of 15th century Scotland seems somewhat dishonest among the mainstream..

If I deliberately starved a pack of Pitt-bulls only to then knowingly release them into someone's Chicken-coop, who would you blame?
Modern society dictates I could walk free and the whole world would blame a few dogs.

This Horse-Powered Well Pump was installed at Gad's Hill Place by #CharlesDickens in his country home (#Rochester). This historical item sits behind '#EastgateHouse' where his writing Chalet has been stored. A fantastic relic like so many others in this glorious region of #Kent.
