The Mitre & Dove was situated on the former King Street (demolished in 1898 and eventually becoming part of the current Parliament Street). It was present by 1734.

A speedy trip down the #Thames is a glorious reminder as to the historic worth & brilliance of #London. As I say often, a house is but a building, a home is something eternal.
