When listening to something emotive it's never the same when others can hear it, even if you desperately want them to feel what you do.

The truth is our minds are our own and when I travelled alone in beautiful or interesting places, the songs struck me in a way like no other time.

I'd have to stop and restart just to cope with one's thoughts, I'd be in reflection from start to finish with all from sadness to happiness entwined into one's surroundings.

Alone you think of everyone, each person and object you see in the daydreams which effect us top to bottom.

I'm glad that lonesome comfort awaits me as I'm glad it selflessness guided me.

Maybe you know of what I speak, if not I hope one day you do.

The Beginnings: When the English Began to Hate
Rudyard Kipling

This poem is often misquoted in these circles, referring to Saxons rather than the English. Here's the original version.
