If weight loss or fitness improvements have stalled, one important factor to consider is your NEAT output.

NEAT: Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis - or in other words, all the activity you do in the day that is not exercising.

This makes up 85-99% of your activity per day, and so making small changes to your average routine can make a huge difference to your goals.

Some easy ways to improve your NEAT output:
โ€ข Always take the stairs
โ€ข Walk instead of driving where you can
โ€ข Turn on some music and dance while you cook
โ€ข Go for a leisurely walk of 30 mins or more each day
โ€ข Be more social and expressive, walk, laugh and chat more
โ€ข Walk to local shops and carry back groceries
โ€ข Be conscious of sitting too long

The further we slip into moral and economic decay, the quicker the pleasant realities of the past become apparent.

As the modern world becomes worse and worse, the images once used to depict evil will look like a society far greater than any of our own.

The villains of old will appear far less villainous, when comparing their world to ours.

It's already difficult to hide this fact, what with how quickly the world has changed in comparison with the images of old.

But this point is so apparent, so obvious that there's stigmas and law's which forbid it's mention.

Time has already taken it's toll, all you have to do is admit it.

You've been told who your enemies are your whole life, conditioned unknowingly into self-loathing and misplaced resentment.

Look around you, none of it was an accident.

Think for yourself

Letโ€™s have a look at 0% fat products and if/when we should be eating them.

On the surface, it may seem that less fat in your foods = less body fat, but this isnโ€™t the case. Fats help our bodies process vitamins and nutrients, synthesise hormones, store energy and more. Rather than reducing fats in our diet, to reduce our body weight we should be aiming for active calorie deficit.

Now, every 1g of fat contains 9 calories, versus protein and carbs which contain only 4 calories per gram. So it may seem that 0% fat means fewer calories by default - but actually, it doesnโ€™t. All 0% products increase carbs to balance the loss of fats from the product, meaning the calorie contents are often pretty much the same.

That doesnโ€™t mean there are no benefits, however. Carbs and proteins both digest quicker than fat does, meaning reduced fat foods are perfect to eat before/during activities. This will allow your body to extract the nutrients and energy you need quickly, without making you feel sluggish!
