I would love to hear a sermon from pastors about the time they were deceived about Covid-19, where they inappropriately ceded the jurisdiction given them by Christ to a feckless and evil government.

I wonder how many churches are left that actually apply the Word to the world we live in.

I would love to hear a sermon from pastors about the time they were so entirely deceived (or scared to say out loud) that a presidential election was stolen, and that the consequences of failing to acknowledge this truth devastated our nation.

That they were utterly ashamed that they spent two years in a pulpit without acknowledging the greatest theft and blatant lie ever told to a congregation by the world.

Think on that. How can you protect your congregation with a Word that exhorts us to not lie and steal, and even break down the hypocrisy of Pharisees missing who Jesus was, when you can’t see what’s going on now in the world?

You have read the biblical passages of Jesus exhorting several “woes”to the Pharisees for making their congregants twice a son of hell.

It’s not a leap of faith to say that if Jesus were standing before 95% of the churches today he would be saying “woe to the Baptist, Lutheran, or reformed Presbyterian pastor, and “woe to the Catholic priest” for the same things.

Rant over.

Give me a Wilberforce or a Bonhoeffer.

Give me an Apostle Paul.

These men did not avoid the political world. They made it the battleground for their ministries.

Wilberforce broke the chains of slavery when slavery was politically legal.

Bonhoeffer defied the Nazis when Nazis wielded all the political power in Germany.

Paul traveled to the political epicenter of the world (“Rome”) to preach Christ.

Keep your 501 C lukewarm sermons.
