As the nation’s foundation called, Ronald, along with many, heeded the call and went to our nation’s capitol that day to stand up for what’s right. For our rights. For our future. And in August 2021, they came for him. He was apprehended at his place of employment. Since then, Ronald has lost his job and is currently being held without bond.

From a very young age, Ronald knew that he wanted to help people and to make a difference in the world. He chose to pursue a career in law enforcement where he could help those incarcerated turn their lives around.

Ronald has always looked to help others. Many awards would follow in his career, including a life-saving award that hangs on his wall. He had saved the life of one of the incarcerated. As many people will tell you who know Ronald, “He would give you the shirt off his back.

All of these traits were on full display on January 6, especially love for his country. When chaos broke out at the capitol, Ronald was helping others around him. He even tried to save the life of a fellow patriot, Roseanne Boyland.

Ronald is just like us. A fellow patriot who loves his country and respects others. For anyone who knows Ronald, you know a kind, courteous, respectful, young man who is fiercely loyal to those close to him. As one friend put it, “He has grown into a man that I am proud to know. He takes responsibility seriously, is reliable, kind, compassionate, and trustworthy …” When Ronald worked in law enforcement, he treated each person as a human being, never judging them, and uplifting and empowering them to become better. This is the R. McAbee we know.

That is what called Ronald to DC. “To stand for what we know in our hearts is right.” Standing up for what is right motivated another person to share this about him, “Ronald has an outstanding character, ethical and moral compass. He has always been the type of individual to help others in need and holds himself to a higher standard along with those around him …” This is the R. McAbee we know.

Ronald McAbee is just like many. A husband. A son. A brother. A patriot, but he is not just any patriot. He is a J6 patriot. He is a J6 warrior. He is a fellow American who is resolute and steadfast in protecting our freedoms. He is standing in the gap for all of us. Standing in the gap for the constitution. I know how serious the election theft of 2020 is.

The State provided low resolution footage when they were in possession of high resolution footage.

The prosecutor doesn't want people to see what actually happened.

Jacob Angeli Chansley was sentenced. Sick that the prosecutor and defense attorney would negotiate a plea deal when thousands of hours of exculpatory video evidence was withheld from the accused. Violation of Brady v. Maryland. Violation of the Confrontation Clause. Sick that the judge would accept the plea deal and go through with sentencing knowing this. Violation of the norms governing plea offers being knowingly and intelligently made and entered into. Can't make a knowing and intelligent plea if you haven't evaluated all the evidence. Praying for mass pardons when 45 returns.

Regarding the Kyle Rittenhouse trial. It's never a good sign for the DA the longer a case is deliberated on. If the jury hangs and a mistrial is declared, no future jury will convict. The jury could be looking at any lesser included charges, which could account for the delay. Jury instructions and verdict forms are tedious and time consuming. I would just prefer the jury find the not guilty verdict forms, sign em', and go home.

Jonathan Mellis is a J6 "DC GITMO" detainee. His family messaged me a couple of days ago. It was Jonathan's birthday.

Jonathan has been incarcerated for 270 days without a bond hearing, and was denied attendance to his father's funeral —a Vietnam and Korean war veteran with two Purple Hearts, a Silver and Bronze star, who we lost during this time.

He was held, at one point, for 35 straight days in super-max solitary isolation without a disciplinary reason given.

Jon is a 35 year old Virginian with a dad who taught him all about foreign markets, geopolitics, and the importance of civic engagement. Jon's adventurous spirit has taken him backcountry camping through South Dakota's Badlands, through Wyoming's craggy Tetons, and to the Capitol steps of Washington DC that fateful January 6th.

He came with a camera and a cowboy hat, intending only to show peaceful support for his country with nation-loving patriots. In great twisted irony, it was Democracy he hoped was protected that day.

Now labeled as a domestic threat by the leaders of the same country he loves, he has a story to tell about the truth of that day, and wants the American people to know it. Despite government's every attempt to thwart it, the truth will be revealed.

I'm often asked if I am depressed spending so much time focused on political prisoners that aren't receiving justice, or fighting for accountable elections when there appears to be so little accountability.

The honest answer is I have struggled with low-level depression my entire life, so I can't say that the circumstances I find myself in now, have added to, or lessened, that depression.

I just know that there are so many people out there that have it worse than me.

When I prosecuted cases, my victims had it worse than me.

God has gifted me, I think, with an ability to walk with those that are facing hard times.

So, no, I don't, or won't, enter into the trap of self-pity.

The Scriptures describe a state of being: "Sorrowful yet always rejoicing."

Christians are better equipped to endure depressing times and suffering, because Christ suffered and endured ALL sin on our behalf. On my behalf.

Rejoice in what Jesus accomplished.

Endure.
