However, Monae insists this is just an upgrade.
Why then is all the data having to be transferred if it's just an upgrade? Why can't the modifications be implemented as they go if it's just an upgrade?
The fact is, it's a completely new program and the contract confirms it's a "complete replacement" of the legacy Total Vote System.
Johnson claims SDVOTES is ready to go. She also stated they've already spent nearly $4 Million of our tax money. By the time they finally GO LIVE in 2027, will the program be outdated?
Ironically, on the exact day and time Monae was proudly telling the Board of Elections the SDVOTES system was set to GO LIVE, Total Vote was offline due to the Cloudflare outage.
Due to the delay, SD will be left with using the legacy Total Vote System, which has NOT been updated to meet all the current election law modifications from 2025, including marking FEDERAL ONLY VOTERS, to deal with our FAKE residency problem.
How much will the programming of the legacy system cost? Was this included in the SOS office budget? Where will the additional $$$ come from?
Our SOS office staff is so incompetent they couldn't even implement HB1062 properly, and claim it cost the state tens of thousands of dollars to modify Total Vote. But all that was required was posting a link to a spreadsheet on the SOS website. That shouldn't have required any modification to Total Vote at all. Anyone that runs a website knows just how easy this is.
Was this press release an opportune time to defer the GO LIVE implementation of Total Vote because South Dakota is about to suffer the fate of Oregon and Pennsylvania? Will we be left millions of dollars in the hole with nothing to show for it?
Yes, we are on track for that exact thing to happen. History repeats itself. And we've been warning you for years.

The Department of War has received serious allegations of misconduct against Captain Mark Kelly, USN (Ret.). In accordance with the Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 688, and other applicable regulations, a thorough review of these allegations has been initiated to determine further actions, which may include recall to active duty for court-martial proceedings or administrative measures. This matter will be handled in compliance with military law, ensuring due process and impartiality. Further official comments will be limited, to preserve the integrity of the proceedings.

The Department of War reminds all individuals that military retirees remain subject to the UCMJ for applicable offenses, and federal laws such as 18 U.S.C. § 2387 prohibit actions intended to interfere with the loyalty, morale, or good order and discipline of the armed forces. Any violations will be addressed through appropriate legal channels.

All servicemembers are reminded that they have a legal obligation under the UCMJ to obey lawful orders and that orders are presumed to be lawful. A servicemember’s personal philosophy does not justify or excuse the disobedience of an otherwise lawful order.

UPDATE ON TINA PETERS:

Tina has been able to remain in her normal cell, is still sick and has not gotten over her cough.
She is currently worried about the temperature. Nights in the area are freezing cold now.
Tina has been trying to keep warm wearing additional layers around her neck, face, and upper body.
She has been informed she will be written up several times for dress code violations for trying to keep warm.

Tina is worried about her condition worsening as she cannot keep warm which is sapping her strength.

She is grateful that she has been released from solitary and that the facility appears to have taken her grievance seriously.

In true form, her concern shifted towards the treatment of others in the prison system. She remarked that many of the women locked up have legitimate concerns that go unanswered and the attitude is simply “they are in prison so they deserve it.”

Tina asks you all to pray for a ruling in her Habeas, for our great nation, for all those incarcerated who often do not have relationships with families, and for our soldiers and law enforcement. Many will not get to spend the holidays with their families either.

We all have many blessings we take for granted. Let us be grateful for those who serve selflessly.
