🎉 Happy Birthday, legendary Juliette Lewis! 🎂
Today, June 21, the one and only Juliette Lewis celebrates her birthday.
📽️ Known for her unforgettable, wild performances in Natural Born Killers, Cape Fear, and many more — she always brought raw intensity, vulnerability, and magnetic charisma to the screen.
📀 But her rock’n’roll side is just as explosive. In 2004, Juliette lent her powerful vocals and co-wrote lyrics for The Prodigy’s fourth album — "Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned". She features on:
• Hotride
• Spitfire
• Get Up Get Off
Especially iconic is “Spitfire” (with backing vocals and co-writing credits), which also appeared on the House of Wax soundtrack. She flew to England to work hands-on with Liam Howlett for a real collaboration.
💬 “I went to England. I didn’t want to do the taping, that was too frustrating. I wanted to know what Liam had in mind. I wanted to get closer to him and collaborate in a real way. We had an amazingly creative process.” — Juliette Lewis (NME, 2004).
Her voice perfectly matched The Prodigy’s chaotic electronic-punk energy — raw, fearless, and full of life. As Juliette has said about music: it’s an outlet that connects you to your true self.
Juliette is eternal fire, freedom, and unstoppable energy. Thank you for the inspiration! 🔥

📅 Exactly 2 years ago today – the Isle of Wight Festival went absolutely nuclear 🌪️.
The Prodigy tore up the main stage at Seaclose Park, and if you caught the live broadcast on Sky Arts, you know you witnessed history. It was the band’s first full festival set broadcast live since Keith Flint’s passing – and they delivered one of the most ferocious performances the island has ever seen.
🔥 The moment that broke everyone: during Firestarter, a massive laser portrait of Keith Flint beamed across the crowd. And when the rain came down, they closed with pure electronic punk fury – literally blowing the audience off the field.
You remember this? ♥️

2026.06.27 – Wondersala, Riga, Latvia
📅 Date: 27th June 2026
🌪️ Event: The Prodigy Concert
🏟️ Venue: Wondersala
🏠 City: Riga
🌐 Country: Latvia 🇱🇻
🎧 Support: Pendulum (DJ Set)
The Prodigy – Wondersala, Riga, Latvia | 27 June 2026
On Saturday, 27 June, the legendary British electronic act The Prodigy delivered their only Baltic show of 2026 at Riga’s Wondersala. It was not just a concert – it was a full‑scale sonic assault, a raw explosion of breakbeats, distorted synths, and unrelenting energy that reminded everyone why this band remains untouchable.
The evening kicked off with doors opening at 17:00 and a warm‑up DJ set. At 20:15, Gareth McGrillen of Pendulum took over the decks with a special DJ performance, setting the tone for the night. Then, at 22:30, the main event began: Liam Howlett and Maxim stormed the stage, backed by a colossal production of lights and bass that shook the venue to its core.
The setlist was a greatest‑hits assault, featuring Omen, Voodoo, Poison, Need Sum1, Light Up The Sky, Firestarter, Invaders, No Good, Roadblox, Get Your Fight On, Their Law, Smack – and, of course, the anthemic Breathe, Hospital, and Out Of Space. The show ran until midnight, leaving no one standing still.
Beyond the sheer intensity, the performance served as a powerful tribute to the legacy of Keith Flint. His voice and spirit were felt throughout, especially on tracks like Firestarter and Breathe. The Prodigy are still in full “attack mode” – and they proved that their fire is far from extinguished. A night of unity, chaos, and pure rave culture that Riga will not forget.

🇦🇹 Austria: 25,000 (Gold)
Worldwide: over 10 million copies sold. Guinness World Record: fastest-selling dance album in the UK.
Hits like "Firestarter", "Breathe", and "Smack My Bitch Up" became generational anthems. The album fused aggressive beats, punk energy, and hip-hop — and changed the rules for electronic music forever.
📄 The Prodigy – The Fat of the Land: In Their Own Words & Beyond.
💬 Liam Howlett (NME, 1997 / BBC Radio 1)
“I grew up on punk and hip-hop. The Fat of the Land was me throwing all those influences into a blender and turning it up to full speed. The whole point was to make a record that would punch people in the face — we didn’t care if it was dance or rock, just pure energy.”
💬 Keith Flint (RIP) (The Guardian, 2015)
“That album is a beast. It’s the sound of the UK underground exploding into the mainstream. When we finished ‘Firestarter’ we knew we had something special — it was the sound of a band that didn’t give a fuck about rules.”
💬 Maxim Reality (Mixmag, 1997)
“We took no prisoners. Every track was designed to tear the dancefloor apart. Liam was a genius in the studio; I just brought the hype. That album was a bomb — every tune a weapon.”
💬 Leeroy Thornhill (BBC Radio 1 documentary, 2019)
“The Fat of the Land took everything to another level. We were a bunch of kids from Essex, and suddenly we were topping charts all over the world. It felt like the whole planet finally caught up with what we'd been doing in the raves for years. Pure, unfiltered chaos — and we loved every second of it.”
💬 Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, BBC Radio 1)
“That record changed my perspective on heavy music. Before that, heavy meant guitars. The Prodigy proved that a beat and a bassline could be more devastating than any riff. It was electronic, but heavier than any rock band out there.”
💬 Skrillex (Billboard, 2014)
“It’s the blueprint. The Fat of the Land is the reason I make music. It showed me electronic music could be punk — dangerous, raw, and full of attitude.”
💬 Tricky (from Perfect Sound Forever interview, September 1997, immediately after the album’s release):
“I like a lot of the more commercial stuff like the Prodigy and Tricky. I like them a lot.”
💬 Kool Keith (Ultramagnetic MCs; from interview with Ambrosia for Heads, March 2019):
“I was backstage with them and Keith Flint was a cool person. They had a lot of champagne, a lot of girls and cool Electronic music. That was a nice tour out there with them. And for the first time, it was good that I had real fun with those guys.” (He also contributed vocals to “Diesel Power” on the album.)

Третий студийный альбом The Prodigy появился 30 июня 1997 года и очень быстро стал одной из тех пластинок, которые отражают свое время. Его выпустили XL Recordings, а в США он вышел на следующий день на Maverick Records. The Fat of the Land
The Fat of the Land ознаменовал момент, когда электронная музыка перестала искать отдельного пространства для себя и вошла в большую культуру громко, нервно и бескомпромиссно.
