Monks asked to return to pagodas at night
The Phnom Penh Municipal Administration and the Phnom Penh Department of Cults and Religion have prohibited monks and novice monks from loitering or relaxing in the gardens in front of the Royal Palace, public parks, coffee shops along the Tonle Sap riverfront and the Walking Street pedestrian area from 6pm to 11pm.
In addition, all monks and novices are prohibited from collecting alms in front of hospitals, in markets, at factories, enterprises, bus stations or religious ceremonies without an invitation. Secretariat of the Supreme Sangha Council.
