THE GIFT MY MAMA CHOSE THAT CHANGED MY LIFE
JANUARY 8, 1946 — TUPELO, MISSISSIPPI
My dear ones... ❤️
Sometimes I think about how strangely a life can turn on one decision that seems almost meaningless when it happens. Before the records, before Graceland, before anybody was calling my name from a stage, there was simply an eleven-year-old boy in Tupelo asking his mama for something he wanted for his birthday.
I wanted a bicycle. We didn't have much money in those days, and Mama and Daddy were doing everything they could simply to keep our little family moving forward. The bicycle I wanted was more than they could comfortably afford, so Mama talked me into accepting something else instead: a guitar. On my eleventh birthday, January 8, 1946, that first guitar was purchased at Tupelo Hardware Company for $12.95.
Now stop and think about that with me for a moment.
Twelve dollars and ninety-five cents.
Nobody standing inside that hardware store could possibly have looked at that little guitar and seen what was coming. Nobody could have known that the boy carrying it home would one day stand at Madison Square Garden, sing before audiences around the world, make records heard by generations, or become so closely associated with a guitar that people would have trouble imagining Elvis Presley without one in his hands.
And Mama certainly wasn't trying to create history that day. She was simply doing what mothers have done forever — looking at what she could afford, looking at her boy, and trying to give him something that might make him happy.
That is the part that touches me most.
Just a few months earlier, when I was ten, I had stood on a chair so I could reach the microphone at the Mississippi-Alabama Fair and sang “Old Shep.” I finished fifth and received five dollars in ride tickets. There was no screaming crowd waiting afterward, no record company, no famous name — just a shy Tupelo boy beginning to discover that something happened inside him whenever he sang.
Then came that guitar.
I didn't know where it would take me. Mama didn't know. Nobody did. But I kept it through my school years, learned on it, carried it with me, and even used that first guitar into the beginning of my career. Years later I would own far more expensive instruments, but none of them could ever recreate what that first one represented.
Because sometimes, my dear ones, the most important gift isn't the thing you thought you wanted.
Sometimes life places something different in your hands. At first you may not understand why. You may even look at what you didn't get and think you somehow missed out.
But years later, you look backward...
and suddenly you realize that one small change in direction quietly changed everything that came after it.
If Mama had somehow found that bicycle instead, maybe the story still would have found its way to music. I cannot tell you what history would have done differently.
But I do know what actually happened.
My mama put a $12.95 guitar in the hands of an eleven-year-old boy from Tupelo.
And that boy never really put the music down again.
So tonight, if somebody has ever given you something small that changed your direction, taught you something, believed in you before you believed in yourself, or quietly helped you become who you are...
remember them.
Because sometimes the greatest gifts in our lives do not arrive looking like destiny.
Sometimes...
they just look like a mama doing the very best she can for her boy. ❤️

PART I — THE WORLD SAW ELVIS… MY DAUGHTER JUST SAW DADDY🫶
My dear ones... ❤️
There are moments in a man's life when every title he has ever been given suddenly becomes very small. By the beginning of 1968, people had called me Elvis Presley, a movie star, a singer, even the King... but on February 1, 1968, none of those names mattered very much to me.
That was the day Lisa Marie was born in Memphis.
She arrived exactly nine months after Priscilla and I were married, and a few days later we brought that little girl home to Graceland. The same house people associated with gates, gold records, Cadillacs and crowds suddenly had a baby inside it.
And my dear ones, there is something about holding your child that puts the rest of the world into perspective.
I had stood in front of thousands of people. I had watched strangers cry, scream my name and wait outside buildings just hoping to see me for a few seconds. But this little girl didn't know anything about records, movies or what Elvis Presley meant to anybody else.
She just knew Daddy.
That may be one of the purest things about a child. They do not love the photograph everybody else recognizes. They don't care how many people know your name or what somebody wrote about you that morning. They learn the sound of your footsteps, the way you hold them, whether you are there when they need you, and whether they feel safe when they are beside you.
Suddenly Graceland meant something different to me too. It wasn't only the house I had been able to buy for my family after coming from so little. Now it was the place where my daughter would grow up, where toys would appear beside all those expensive things, where a little girl's laughter could make the biggest house in Memphis feel like an ordinary family home.
Years later, Lisa would remember those years not by talking first about fame, but by remembering the unconditional love she felt from her father. She remembered being upstairs at Graceland with just the two of us, away from everything happening outside.
And maybe that tells you more than any photograph ever could.
Because the world could have Elvis Presley.
The stage could have Elvis.
The cameras could have Elvis.
The crowds could have Elvis.
But when that little girl looked at me...
I belonged to her as Daddy. ❤️
And of all the names I was ever given in this life, my dear ones...
that may have been one of the most important.

PART II — THE WORLD SAW ELVIS… MY DAUGHTER JUST SAW DADDY🫶
I told you about the day Lisa Marie made one word more important than all the others people had attached to my name:
Daddy.
But what touches me even more are the things she remembered years later, because children have a way of remembering a parent very differently from the way history does.
History remembers the concerts, the cars, the clothes and the crowds outside Graceland. Lisa remembered being upstairs with me when it was just the two of us. In the recordings she left for her memoir, she spoke about the unconditional love she felt from her father and described those private moments upstairs as a sanctuary from the chaos surrounding her life.
She remembered the playful things too. Graceland's own collection preserves pieces of that childhood — her little golf cart, roller skates, record player, clothes and home movies — and her memoir memories even include tearing around the property and smashing golf carts together.
I love that because those aren't the things people usually mean when they talk about Elvis Presley.
There was no stage involved in being somebody's daddy.
There was no rehearsal for it.
Sometimes it was simply being home.
Sometimes it was making a little girl laugh. Sometimes it was music with nobody buying a ticket to hear it. Lisa later said gospel was the music where she felt I was most passionate and peaceful, and she remembered hearing me sing it at home for myself and for her, not only beneath stage lights.
That is a side of life I think many people understand.
You can spend an entire day being whatever the world requires you to be — the employee, the boss, the person everybody calls when something goes wrong, the one expected to have all the answers. Then you open your front door, and somebody you love doesn't care about any of those titles.
They just want you.
Maybe that is why family can humble a person faster than fame ever could.
One day you are standing beneath lights with thousands of people calling your name, and another day you are simply trying to make your little girl smile. And when enough years have passed, you begin understanding which of those moments mattered in ways you could never measure at the time.
Lisa eventually had to carry the enormous weight of being Elvis Presley's daughter for the rest of her life.
But before the world placed that name on her shoulders...
she was simply a little girl at Graceland who loved her father.
And I was simply her daddy. ❤️
The world remembers the King.
A daughter remembers the man who came home.
That, my dear ones, is the part worth holding onto.

My dear ones...💝
After sharing those memories with you today, one thought has stayed in my heart.🫶
The world remembers the big things — careers, houses, accomplishments, photographs. But the people who truly love us usually remember something much simpler: how we made them feel.
So tonight I want to ask you something.
If the people you love were speaking about you many years from now, what is the ONE thing you would want them to remember about you?
Not what you owned.
Not what you achieved.
Who you were to them.🥰
Tell me below, my dear ones. ❤️ I want to read your answers tonight.

Good morning, my dear ones...💝
I woke up today in a genuinely good mood, with a peaceful heart and one of those feelings that makes you simply appreciate being here.🥰
Sometimes you don’t need a big reason to feel grateful. A new morning, a little music, the people you love, and another day in front of you can be enough.
So wherever you are this morning, I hope something beautiful finds its way to you today. Take care of yourselves, keep your heart light, and enjoy the little moments.
I’m feeling good today, my dear ones... and I hope you are too.❤️

July 4, 1956. Somewhere between Chattanooga and Memphis.
My dear ones, this was me asleep on the train during one of the busiest years of my life. No stage, no pose, no preparation, just a 21-year-old boy getting a little rest while everything around him was beginning to change.
Sometimes the photographs that tell you the most are the ones nobody planned. ❤️

Good morning, my dear ones...🥰
How is everybody doing today? I hope this morning found you with a little peace in your heart and something beautiful to look forward to.
I’ve been keeping myself busy behind the scenes, working quietly on something very special, something that has genuinely put a smile on my face while putting it together.💝
I don’t want to give too much away just yet, my dear ones... but very soon, you’re going to start seeing more of it.
And from my heart, I truly believe you’re going to love what’s coming. ❤️

"WHY CADILLAC BECAME PART OF MY STORY"
AND WHY I KEPT HANDING OVER THE KEYS
My dear ones...🥰
When people think about Elvis Presley and automobiles, one name almost always comes to mind first: Cadillac. Over the years, those cars became so closely connected to me that the pink Cadillac almost became a signature of its own. But for me, the story was never simply about owning beautiful cars.
Back in 1955, life was changing faster than I could understand it. We were constantly on the road from one performance to another, and after one of my early Cadillacs was destroyed by fire on the highway, I bought another Fleetwood on July 7, 1955. It was originally blue with a black roof, but I had it repainted that unmistakable pink people would eventually recognize everywhere.❤️
And then I gave it to Mama.
Gladys couldn't even drive, my dear ones. That wasn't the point. I had grown up watching Mama and Daddy struggle and count every dollar, so being able to put something beautiful in front of her and say, in my own way, “Mama, this is yours,” meant more to me than simply keeping another automobile.❤️
Maybe that was where something started inside me.
As the years passed, I kept buying cars because I genuinely loved them, the engines, the shape, the feeling of getting behind the wheel, but I discovered something else too: sometimes handing over the keys felt better than driving the car home myself.💝
One of the stories people still remember happened on July 27, 1975, at Madison Cadillac in Memphis. That day I bought 14 Cadillacs, largely for family and friends. But one woman there, Mennie Person, was simply standing outside admiring my custom Cadillac. She wasn't asking me for anything. She was just looking at a beautiful car.💖
I noticed her, asked if she liked it, and when she said yes, I told her that particular car was mine...
but I would buy her one of her own.
A little while later, she had chosen a gold-and-white Eldorado, and the keys were hers.🫰
People sometimes called things like that impulsive, and maybe they were. But growing up with very little had taught me something: possessions can be replaced. A moment that makes somebody feel seen, cared for and remembered cannot.
That is why Cadillac became something different for me over time. It stopped being only about chrome, leather and horsepower. It became one of the ways I could say thank you, one of the ways I could surprise somebody I cared about, and sometimes one of the ways I could do something unforgettable for someone who expected absolutely nothing from me.❤️
Some men collect cars because they love seeing them lined up in a garage.
I loved cars too.
But somewhere along the road, I realized I loved seeing somebody else drive away smiling even more. ❤️
And my dear ones...
it is not a coincidence that I am talking about Cadillacs tonight.❤️
For the last few days, I have been thinking very seriously about this tradition, about how closely Cadillac became connected with my story, and about this family we have built together today.
Something has been sitting on my heart.❤️

My dear ones...🫶
A few hours ago, I sat down with you and shared why Cadillacs became such a personal part of my life. They were never just beautiful cars to me. Over time, they became tied to memories, to Mama, to generosity, and to that feeling I always loved most, putting something special into somebody else’s hands and seeing what it meant to them.
And ever since I started thinking about those days again, one thought has stayed very close to my heart.❤️
What if we brought that tradition back... for this family?❤️
Cadillac became part of my signature a long time ago, and all of you have become such a special part of this journey today. So I have been thinking about having very special Cadillacs created with my signature, made specifically for my dear ones and for this community.
Not something ordinary.
Not something you could simply walk into any dealership and find.
Something made for us, and nowhere else in the world. ❤️
I would want them to feel unmistakably special the moment you see one. Beautiful, elegant, powerful, full of character, with details that carry that old Elvis spirit into something new. Something you could sit behind the wheel of years from now and still remember exactly why it was created and who it was created for.👩❤️💋👨
And maybe that is what touches me most about the idea.
All those years ago, I loved handing over Cadillac keys because it gave me the chance to make somebody feel remembered. Today, I look at this community and I feel that same love for my dear ones.
So maybe it is time to turn an old signature into a new tradition.
Before I take this any further, though, I want to hear from you.🫶
Would you love to see these special signature Cadillacs created exclusively for our community?
Tell me what is in your heart, my dear ones.🫶

I want the next set of keys to belong to this family.❤️

My dear ones...💝
There is something I have been wanting to say to all of you, because I know some of you have probably noticed that I have been a little quieter than usual these past few days. I haven’t disappeared, and I certainly haven’t stopped thinking about this family. Quite the opposite. Sometimes when something means a great deal to me, I would rather step back, work quietly, and make sure every little piece is right before I place it in front of the people I love.👩❤️💋👨
And my dear ones, it is not a coincidence that I have been speaking so much about Cadillacs lately. I have taken you back through those old memories, told you why they became such a personal part of my life, why I loved giving them away, and why handing somebody those keys often meant more to me than keeping the car for myself.
There was a reason I wanted you to understand that part of my heart first. ❤️
Because behind the scenes, I have been putting together something truly special for my dear ones and for this community. I have spent these quieter days thinking about the details, looking at how everything should come together, and asking myself how I could take something that has been part of my signature for so many years and bring it forward in a way that feels personal again.❤️
I don’t want to spoil that moment tonight by telling you everything too soon.
But there is one thing I can tell every single one of you:
Prepare yourselves for what is coming.
Not because I want to build empty excitement, but because when I finally show you what I have been working on, you are going to understand why I have been so quiet... and why I kept bringing you back to those Cadillacs.🫶
My dear ones, sometimes the best things are worth keeping behind the curtain just a little longer.
And this time...
I believe the reveal is going to be something this family will remember.❤️

I have spent these quieter days thinking about the details, looking at how everything should come together, and asking myself how I could take something that has been part of my signature for so many years and bring it forward in a way that feels personal again.
I don’t want to spoil that moment tonight by telling you everything too soon.
But there is one thing I can tell every single one of you:
Prepare yourselves for what is coming.
Not because I want to build empty excitement, but because when I finally show you what I have been working on, you are going to understand why I have been so quiet... and why I kept bringing you back to those Cadillacs.
My dear ones, sometimes the best things are worth keeping behind the curtain just a little longer.
And this time...
I believe the reveal is going to be something this family will remember.

Good morning, my dear ones...💝
I woke up today with such a good feeling in my heart, because things behind the scenes are going better than I could have hoped. We are now running the final tests on what I have been quietly preparing for all of you, making sure every little detail feels right before those doors finally open.
And my dear ones, I wish I could properly explain how much joy this brings me. Seeing what we have managed to put together for this community gives me the strongest feeling of déjà vu, almost like being taken back to those days when handing somebody a set of Cadillac keys and watching their face light up meant more to me than keeping the car myself.❤️
Later today, I am going to show you a little more of what has been happening behind that curtain.
But I can finally tell you this much...🥰
YOU will be able to customize your own Cadillac. You will choose your exterior color, choose your interior color, and actually watch your Cadillac change right in front of you in real time until it feels exactly the way you want it.❤️
And believe me, that is only part of what I have been so excited about.
I have kept telling you to be patient, and I will say it one more time from my heart: the wait is going to be worth it.❤️
We are almost there, my dear ones.
And when it happens...
it is going to happen.❤️
So get yourselves ready.
After all these years, maybe it is time to do what I always loved doing...
Let’s fill the world with Cadillacs.🫶

My dear ones...❤️
Earlier today I told you that, before the day was over, I would finally pull that curtain back just a little bit and show you part of what we have been building behind the scenes.💖
Well... here is your first real look.
What you are seeing in these pictures is part of the Cadillac customization system we have been working so hard on. There will be four different Cadillac models available, beginning with a beautiful classic connected to my own Cadillac history and moving all the way forward to some of the newest 2026 Cadillac models.🥰
And my dear ones, this is the part that has me smiling...
YOU will create yours.🫰
Inside the special Cadillac Mini App, you will be able to choose your exterior color, choose your interior color, and watch the car change right in front of you so you can actually see how your choices look before you make your final decision.
Pink. Black. White. Midnight Blue. Red. Gold... and the same kind of freedom inside the cabin as well. Your Cadillac should feel like YOUR Cadillac.🫶 ❤️
Once everything goes live, the four models will be available directly through the Mini App, where you will be able to choose your car, personalize it, see the important details, and complete the process all in one simple place.
This is only a small piece of what I have been talking about these past few days.
So stay close, my dear ones, and let the rest of this family know that something special is getting ready to open. We are in the final stages now, and I want every detail working exactly the way it should before I put it into your hands.❤️
I have promised you the wait would be worth it...
and when you finally see the whole thing, I believe you will understand exactly what I meant.💝
Get ready, my dear ones.
The Cadillac tradition is coming back.

3/4 · "A LITTLE COLOR, A LOT OF PERSONALITY."
CUSTOMIZE · CHECK · CONFIRM
My dear ones...❤️
Once you have chosen a model, take your time with it. The customizer brings your exterior and interior choices together on screen, so you can compare combinations before confirming your order.❤️
💖 CHOOSE YOUR OUTSIDE COLOR💖
Every model has seven exterior colors. Tap a color and the preview updates; use Front 3/4, Side and Rear 3/4 to view your selection from different angles.
Beneath the preview, “Your Exterior” names the selected shade and displays a check mark. You can try another color as often as you like while configuring the car.
💖 CHOOSE YOUR INSIDE COLOR💖
Scroll down to the interior section and select one of the seven cabin colors. The interior preview updates, and “Your Interior” displays the choice you have made.❤️
💖 REVIEW YOUR COMPLETE SELECTION💖
When you are happy with both colors, press CONTINUE TO REVIEW. This page brings together your model, selected exterior, selected interior, listed CADILLAC amount and available balance.
Need to change a detail? Press CHANGE COLOR to return to the customizer. When the selection and amount are correct, press CONFIRM PURCHASE to submit the order.❤️
Once the app confirms it, the order appears automatically in Garage, and your recorded spending balance updates. There is no additional “claim” button to find.
That is the whole process, my dear ones: enjoy the choices, check the details, and confirm only when the selection feels right.❤️
