A friend went for a rapid test this morning to enjoy a concert this evening that she paid for ages ago. A gift to her mother in law. This is what she said:
“Good morning. As I sat in the waiting area to get my rapid test for the right to ‘live my life normally’ for 72 hrs(🤬) I gotta say, some of the kindest, warmest people you will ever lock eyes with are strangers who are in the same boat as you…
It was the strangest feeling of both persecution and camaraderie inside the same moment. “
It made me laugh/cry because I hadn’t thought of who you might meet if you found yourself there. Honestly, probably a great place to build community. 😂
