Do You Know the Difference Between Laylatul Qadr and the Day of Arafah?
On Laylatul Qadr: Everything comes DOWN.
Allah says:
“The angels and the Spirit descend therein…”
(97:4)
The Qur’an descended. The angels descend. The Qadr descend. Mercy pours from the heavens.But the Day of Arafah is completely different.
Day of Arafah is completely different. Because instead of angels descending… Humanity rises to Allah. It resembles the Day of Resurrection: Millions standing in plain clothes, begging for mercy under the sky. Allah boasts about His servants to the angels.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“There is no day on which Allah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of Arafah…”
SubhanAllah.
On Laylatul Qadr, Allah hides the exact date. He wants your soul to search and hunger for it during the last ten nights of Ramadan. It rewards the person who keeps looking.
On Arafat, Allah tells everyone the exact day. He invites the broken, the tired, and the heavy-hearted to show up at the exact same time for an open-door mercy.
And there’s another difference most people miss. Laylatul Qadr is connected to the beginning of revelation.
“Iqra.”
Arafah is connected to completion.
“This day I have perfected your religion for you…”
(5:3)
One began Islam’s light. The other completed it. One night can rewrite your destiny. One day can erase your sins.
The greatest mercy is Allah gave this Ummah both. 🥺🥺
Ya Allah, allow us to witness them and benefit from them.

Doa Yang Rasulullah SAW Ajar Kepada Abu Bakar RA
Pernah suatu ketika Saidina Abu Bakar memohon Rasulullah SAW mengajarkan kepadanya doa untuk dibacakan dalam solat. Lalu Rasulullah mengajarkan Abu Bakar doa ini:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا، وَلاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِنْ عِنْدِكَ، وَارْحَمْنِي إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ
"Ya Allah, sesungguhnya aku telah banyak menzalimi diriku. Tiada yang boleh mengampunkan dosa melainkan Engkau. Ampunilah aku dengan keampunan di sisi-Mu dan rahmatilah aku, sesungguhnya Engkau Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Pengasih."
Mari amalkan doa ini selalu. Moga segala dosa kita diampunkan oleh Allah SWT.
