⚫️ In the absence of official information, it can be cautiously assumed that it will be a Chromium-based browser, differentiating from Chrome through TON integration. This would conveniently allow users to utilize various TON features in the browser without resorting to extensions: for example, accessing TON Sites without the need for additional proxy installation.

⚫️ Outside TON ecosystem, Brave Browser, also based on Chromium, previously took a similar path: it integrated a crypto wallet, allowing users to forego extensions like MetaMask.

📒 Summary of the First Day at The Gateway

We're closely following the happenings of the second day of The Gateway, and let's also summarize everything that was announced on the first day:

⚫️ As of yesterday, @wallet is being added to the menu for Telegram users in Africa and Latin America, with Asia, Eastern Europe, and the MENA region set to connect in the first quarter of 2024, and the rest of the countries (with exceptions like the USA) in the second quarter.

⚫️ Owners of Telegram channels will have the opportunity to raffle not only Premium subscriptions but also TON and NFTs.

⚫️ A program to encourage various activities related to TON will appear on society.ton.org. Participants will earn XP points, which can later be converted into TON.

⚫️In addition to the existing trusted bridges, which depend on a single point of centralized failure, trustless bridges TON Teleport will be introduced in TON.

⚫️ Ston.fi announced the Omniston protocol, which combines offers from various exchanges. Token exchanges in TON Space, currently operating through Ston.fi, are planned to be shifted to Omniston, allowing everyone to participate.

📈 There's no such thing as too many users: Wallet continues to strengthen its position

⚫️ Over the past year, discussions about listing Toncoin on Binance have been nearly constant among network users. While many are wandering in search of the slightest rumors and insiders, Bybit, the world's third most visited cryptocurrency exchange, has already held at least several events in collaboration with The Open Network. Next in line is the new initiative — TON Odyssey.

⚫️ Since December 2022, Toncoin has been available for spot trading on Bybit in the TON/USDT pair. And now, almost a year later, Odyssey invites users to activate their @wallet in Telegram and link them with their exchange accounts. For completing this simple procedure, each of the first 25,000 participants will receive 0.5 TON in their @wallet balance.

⚫️ As always, the most interesting offer awaits new Bybit users. They can get 5 Toncoin in their exchange balance by depositing a minimum of $100 within seven days of registering their account. 🚀 Liquid Staking by Ton Whales, one of the oldest teams in the ecosystem.

⚫️ The new derivative token has been named $wsTON. At the time of writing, the APY in the pool is ~4.30%. Soon, a pair with $wsTON will appear on the DeDust.io exchange, which will open the opportunity not only to trade the token but also to add it to the liquidity pool for additional income.

💡 Jetton staking without unnecessary complexities?

⚫️ We continue to explore promising projects in TON ecosystem, and today we're focusing on the decentralized platform for organizing staking pools, JVault. The platform offers support to cryptocurrency project developers and major token holders in launching staking initiatives.

⚫️ It's expected that creators of new jettons will place their pools on the JVault platform, thereby ensuring the reliability of their tokens and attracting regular users with unique offers.

⚫️ Just two days ago, the service launched on the mainnet, and staking is already available for the meme token $BOLT with three possible plans: locking the jetton without yield for one or two years, or staking for a year at 7% APR. It's important to note that this pool does not allow for early withdrawal of funds.

⚫️ The FCK.team announced the launch of the open beta test for the analytical platform DYOR.ninja. The project aims to assist users in assessing the reliability of tokens and decentralized applications in TON ecosystem.

⚫️ Currently, on the website, you can view token prices in various pairs, study liquidity charts, transactions, and the number of holders of the jettons you're interested in. There's also an option to connect to the analytical bot, and soon tabs for NFT and DApp will become available (hinted at by the popping up «soon» banners).

⚫️ DYOR.ninja has replaced the well-known fck.dev project by the same development team. The purpose of the $FCK token remains unchanged: it can be used to vote for your favorite jetton, thereby improving its position in a special recognition rating.

⚫️ The developers have already started actively incorporating and gradually implementing platform improvements based on the results of the beta launch. But there's still much work ahead! The FCK.team is asking everyone to join the testing and report any bugs they find to the report bot. 🍌 Following The Gateway: When will the native stablecoin on TON launch?

⚫️ The recent conference in Dubai brought us not only the rollout plan for the Wallet available to all Telegram users, but also numerous rumors of an impending partnership with a major stablecoin issuer. And while the community awaits news, The Daily TON decided to conduct its investigation to figure out when The Open Network will see a native stablecoin.

⚫️ For months, rumors about a native stablecoin have circulated, bolstered by a CertiK-audited smart contract on GitHub for over a year. TON Foundation's spokespeople have not shied away from acknowledging these discussions: Anton Tsivarev initially hinted at ongoing global efforts for stablecoin integration in a developer's chat, and post-Gateway, Howard Peng, a DevRel specialist at the TON Foundation, alluded to a collaboration with "a major player" while on a live stream.

⚫️ Currently, Tether and Circle – the issuers of USDT and USDC tokens, respectively – dominate the stablecoin market. Both have debuted their tokens across more than ten different blockchains. Yet, before we leap to any conclusions about the potential frontrunner, let's examine the evidence at hand. Given that Circle is an American entity and considering TON’s intricate past with the U.S. (highlighted by the fact that the Wallet is not accessible to American users), it seems improbable that a partnership with Circle is on the horizon.

💎 In contrast, Tether is registered in Hong Kong and belongs to the same company that owns the Bitfinex exchange. Toncoin was listed there earlier this year, and during last summer, Andrey Rogozov, a member of the TON Foundation, gave an interview to the exchange’s channel.

⚫️ If we cautiously speculate that TON Foundation is in dialogue with Tether, then what's the expected schedule for this integration? What could be delaying the much-anticipated launch of USDT on TON? Plausibly, it's the absence of necessary infrastructure. Among the new features of the fifth wallet standard, one can anticipate "gasless transactions" that will allow users to send tokens without paying gas in Toncoin. Given that "gasless transactions" are already a feature of the TRON blockchain – which leads in USDT transactions – it's conceivable that the TON Foundation, having recognized the utility of fee-free transfers, seeks to implement a comparable feature in their quest for "mass adoption" and in attracting hundreds of millions of TON users.

⚫️ The introduction of the fifth-standard wallet is scheduled for mid-next year, and it's quite likely that this event will coincide with the debut of the first native stablecoin on The Open Network. Meanwhile, users can utilize wrapped tokens to provide liquidity and store savings.

💎 A win-win Proposal?

⚫️ From November 20th to 24th, voting for The Open League proposal took place on TON.Vote website. TON Foundation needed to prove that the community supports the launch of the pilot season, as well as to gather additional feedback and suggestions.

⚫️ In a nutshell, The Open League is a large-scale grant support platform for projects. Its goal, over three seasons by mid-spring 2025, is to attract at least five million users to TON Ecosystem. The Open League will stand on two main pillars:

⚫️ @community_bot, familiar to many of you, will take on the role of a quest platform, through which participants in the reward programs can earn XP points.

⚫️ TON Society — a fundamentally new platform for the community — will become a kind of social network, combining profiles of initiative participants and giving them the opportunity to showcase achievements, accumulate XP, and participate in voting.

⚫️ Primate impact is too high channel has recently published a detailed breakdown of the main points of the proposal in a Telegraph article format (russian language). Meanwhile, we revisited the 18-minute presentation from The Gateway conference and spoke with a representative from Tonstarter, further elucidating some aspects of the initiative:

— XP points can be exchanged at a fixed rate, unlike tokens, which have their variable price and cannot be reissued after launch. That's why it was emphasized during the presentation that XP is not a token.

— Concerns about a potential drop in Toncoin price due to the distribution of XP are unnecessary, as the organizers (TON Foundation) are primarily concerned about this issue and will certainly take all risks into account. Consequently, it can be assumed that earning points won’t be too easy.

— The preliminary number of projects planned to be involved in each season is 15, but this figure may still change.

— After the launch of the pilot season, it will become clear how to assess the indicator of potentially attracted users, which will determine the amount of grant funds allocated to each project.

👁 As we see, many questions will be resolved based on the experience of The Open League's pilot season. And it will undoubtedly happen, as in the voting on TON.Vote, 477 out of 493 participants unequivocally supported the proposal (99.5% of votes «Yes» in TON equivalent). We've already seen successful campaigns conducted with the help of Community Bot, so we can optimistically expect a new significant leap in the development of TON Ecosystem. 📈 Hipo Protocol: One Month in the Mainnet!

⚫️ Since its launch, Hipo liquid staking protocol has successfully surpassed the $1 million mark, and then the $2 million TVL. Currently, the amount of locked funds has reached $2.13 million and is now eyeing a surge towards the third million. There's every reason to believe this milestone will be achieved.

⚫️ Each time a new TVL milestone was reached, the Hipo team promised to distribute 1% of governance tokens among those who contributed to the protocol's development: primarily stakers, as well as users who invited acquaintances to the project through the referral program. And while everyone is awaiting the disclosure of the token distribution terms, we cautiously assume that participants might be rewarded with an additional percentage for reaching the third million in TVL.

⚫️ Additionally, the team recently featured in a post by the TON Community and released their own NFT collection «99 Hipo Hard Rock». Owners of these elements will be able to participate in future airdrops of the same governance tokens. Right now, the musical hippos are finding their way into the wallets of participants in the recently concluded campaign on Zealy.

🐤 Pearl hunters embark on the hunt: Getgems conducts the first cNFT mint

⚫️ This summer, we wrote about the new token standard — Compressed NFT (cNFT), which significantly reduces the amount of data uploaded to the blockchain and, consequently, makes it hundreds of times cheaper to release collections.

⚫️ The Getgems team tried out this technology in their Pearls by Gems bot, minting 16,000 cNFTs for just $3. Everyone who connected their wallets in time received tokens. It's worth noting that currently, only @wallet can display the new standard NFTs, but they can be viewed in your profile on getgems.io.

⚫️ TON became the second blockchain after Solana to implement the cNFT standard. However, «compressed» NFTs on one of the Solana trading platforms were launched just recently — in September this year, which means Getgems has every chance to take the lead in the newly opened niche.

🚀 The Martian Chronicles in The Open Network

⚫️ We recently held a live stream with the lead of TON Foundation Gaming (on our russian-language channel The Daily TON RUS), where we discussed the existing GameFi products in our ecosystem. This isn't the first broadcast where we've discussed blockchain games — an interesting but complex topic.

⚫️ One of the main questions that arises in such discussions is, «Why does a game need blockchain?»: so far, we've managed without decentralization and everything works fine. And when it comes to an existing game that would benefit from the implementation of blockchain technologies, everyone cites the same project — EVE Online. This space MMORPG, jokingly called an «Excel simulator» due to its complex gameplay, has managed to attract over 10 million players.

⚫️ TON also has its own space online simulator requiring thoughtful study and meticulous calculations — TON Planets.

⚫️ It's a browser-based economic strategy game with numerous mechanics and the opportunity to earn while playing. The simulator offers to manage your holdings on the surface of Mars: buying and selling plots, leasing them out, placing production facilities and workers, trading resources on the market.

⚫️ Much of the economy is built by the players themselves — all resources are traded on the spot exchange between real people. Many game assets are tokenized — there's a native token and several NFT collections. A very lively, active, and engaged community comes along with it. 📡 Brief summary of The Daily Talk x TON API broadcast.

Today on The Daily TON RUS, we had an extraordinary broadcast (in Russian) where, together with Denis Subbotin, the tech lead of TON API, we discussed the blockchain's recent operational issues. Here are the key points of the broadcast:

— What actually happened?

In just a few hours, about 2.5 million messages were sent to one account by ~10000 unique senders. TON processed one and a half million transactions in a couple of hours, and then problems began. However, the blockchain did not «crash», even though usage was significantly hampered.

— What is BRC-20? How does it work?

A standard that involves sending text messages to one address, which off-chain software then parses and distributes tokens among users. This protocol was ported to TON and «promoted» among users.

— What did the developers and TON Foundation do?

Fixes and software updates are ongoing. The culprits (Tonano) asked their users to stop sending transactions. It's possible that the Tonano developers simply did not consider that TON's architecture is not suitable for this idea (implementing the BRC-20 standard on TON).

— What is the key difference from the recent performance test in the testnet?

There are two key differences. First: in the test, transactions were distributed, meaning they were not sent to just one smart contract. Second: the number and quality of nodes — the infrastructure was specifically enhanced for the experiment.

— How did this affect TON's readiness for such tests?

The core team is making necessary changes to the software, and key infrastructure projects are also taking this experience into account.

— What's happening now?

A small part of the blockchain continues to lag, but transactions have started to improve in the last few hours. The GitHub repository shows that the core team is currently updating the code. After fully resolving the issue, we look forward to hearing about the work done.

🚀 Relaunch of the high-profile TON-20 standard

⚫️ The weekend gave TON ecosystem a brief respite from the upheaval, but it was not meant to last long. Today, at 12:00 UTC, the protocol will be relaunched, and the minting of the TON-20 token will once again test the infrastructure's resilience.

⚫️ This time, the creators of Tonano have taken measures against spam from script minters: only transactions signed by basic wallets (such as @wallet, Tonkeeper, MyTonWallet, and others) to the address of your own wallet will be indexed. Transactions sent to a zero address will not be indexed, meaning that their overload should not cause network failures.

⚫️ Thanks to the coordinated efforts of TON team, it was possible not only to cope with the network overload and process all the «stuck» transactions but also to promptly work with validators on updating nodes and release a series of necessary patches. More details about what happened can be learned from the summary of our special broadcast.

⚫️ Now, Tonano is ready to resume token issuance on their website and, judging by the comment from Anthony Tsivarev, Director of Ecosystem Development at TON Foundation: «Yes, the latest validator updates will help us cope with this,» — everything should go smoothly. We believe in the success of the blockchain and are closely monitoring the upcoming mint!

📈 Unexpected (or Inevitable?) success of the $RAFF sale

⚫️ The TonRaffles team, consisting of independent developers with no ties to TON Foundation or famous funds backing them, has been building their platform with various tools for NFTs and jettons in TON for one and a half years.

⚫️ In early December, they launched a fairlaunch* of their utility token $RAFF, and as of now, they have collected a staggering 120,221 TON, which is nearly 50 times the size of the Soft Cap announced at the start. The sale has already seen the participation of 1,719 people, despite disruptions in the network's operation. With several hours left until the end (16:00 UTC), the amount and number of participants are likely to increase.

⚫️ We've written in detail about the platform in the sale advertisement, and now all that remains is to congratulate the project on its successful fundraising and wish them a successful listing.
