BREAKING | Yemen's Ansarallah confirms in a statement that Saudi Arabia bombed Sanaa International Airport in an attempt to prevent its delegation in Iran from returning to Yemen, but said the effort failed.

Ansarallah's Political Bureau called the strike a dangerous escalation, a blatant attack on Yemen's sovereignty, and a violation of international laws and conventions. It said the attack reflected Saudi and US hostility toward the Yemeni people and formed part of efforts to maintain the blockade imposed on Yemen for more than 10 years.

The statement added that the strike was an attempt to reimpose tutelage over Yemen and undermine its sovereign decision-making, stressing that the policy of force, arrogance, and domination pursued by Saudi Arabia and the US would fail.

VIDEO | "We hit 'em very hard last night."

US President Donald Trump announced a significant expansion of military attacks against Iran during a live interview on Fox News, claiming that recent US strikes have systematically dismantled the nation’s anti-aircraft defenses. "Most of their equipment is gone, their anti-aircraft stuff is gone," Trump stated, adding, "We hit'em very hard last night."

Trump described a breakdown in diplomatic negotiations, asserting that previous efforts to secure an agreement with Tehran were discarded by Iranian leadership. "We had a deal, what nobody knows, we had a deal, it was a done deal, and then they broke it," he said. Trump signaled that the US strategy has shifted toward a more direct military posture, noting, "Every time they send a drone, we hit ‘em very hard."

Addressing the critical maritime situation in the Gulf, Trump stated that the US intends to take primary control over the Strait of Hormuz to maintain the flow of global commerce. He suggested that wealthy regional allies would be required to finance the US military presence, declaring, "If we do that, we’re gonna be reimbursed because the other nations are very wealthy, they’re on our side, and we can’t be expected to do that for nothing."

VIDEO | 'Israeli forces are lying about what happened during the detention of Rep. Ro Khanna'

Nadav Weiman, Executive Director of Breaking the Silence, states that the Israeli military is misrepresenting the events surrounding the settler attack on US Representative Ro Khanna. He further contends that Israeli forces are feigning ignorance regarding the identity of the armed settler involved, who has been identified as Shirel Malahi:

"The IDF is lying about the detention of Rep. Khanna.

I was on the ground with him that day, and my body camera captured us being detained by both settlers and Israeli soldiers. The IDF did not disperse the violent settlers, as they claim.

They explicitly sided with them. As you can see in the video, the soldiers themselves blocked the road. I walked over to the soldiers and told them that the police had instructed them to remove the settlers, and that a Member of Congress was present. They refused to help. And there is more.

The IDF claimed that the identity of an armed man was under investigation. Again. a blunt lie. Everyone knows who he is. This is Shirel Malihi. You can see him attacking activists at the same place. Settlers and the IDF worked hand in hand that day as, in fact, they do every day."

❗️Spokesman for Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters:

"Based on previous warnings, we will not, under any circumstances, allow the United States to interfere in the management of the Strait of Hormuz, nor will we allow it in the future.

The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will deal firmly with any disruption or threat to the security of the passage of commercial vessels and oil tankers by the aggressive and piratical US military, should it occur outside the route designated by Iran and without authorization from the Armed Forces. The firm actions taken by the IRGC and the Iranian Army over the past few days are evidence of this.

We issue a warning to the leaders of the countries in the region: any cooperation with the United States or the provision of logistical support to its aggressive military will be considered an act of war against Iran’s sovereignty and national security. In the event that the war expands in the region, its flames will extend to all countries in the region.

The United States and the countries that cooperate with its criminal military bear full responsibility for all acts of insecurity and the expansion of the scope of war in the region."

❗️US moves to extradite pro-Palestine philanthropist Fergie Chambers over so-called 'terror' financing

US philanthropist and activist Fergie Chambers has been detained in Ibiza, Spain, following a sealed indictment issued by the US Department of Justice. Chambers, an heir to the Cox family fortune who has donated over $1 million to Palestinian humanitarian efforts, currently faces extradition to Washington on charges of international money laundering and providing material support to foreign terrorist organizations. If extradited, he faces a potential 30-year prison sentence.

The indictment, reviewed by The Grayzone, reportedly lacks evidence linking Chambers to terrorist groups, instead citing transfers of funds to banks in Tunisia where he relocated in 2023. Chambers’ representatives assert that these funds were utilized for legitimate investments, including the sponsorship of the Club Africain football team and various social justice causes. His partner, Stella Schnabel, condemned the arrest as “political persecution” aimed at punishing Chambers for his vocal opposition to the genocide in Gaza.

The arrest occurs during a period of heightened friction between the Trump administration and the Spanish government, particularly regarding Spain's refusal to facilitate US military operations against Iran. The move aligns with the administration’s recently unveiled counterterrorism strategy, which increasingly characterizes left-wing political activism as a national security threat. The case marks the first instance of an individual facing extradition from Spain to the US on charges related to pro-Palestine advocacy.

❗️UAE-based DP World advances plans for new Fujairah port to bypass Strait of Hormuz

Dubai-based port operator DP World is moving to construct a new port and container terminal on the United Arab Emirates’ east coast, a strategic maneuver aimed at achieving "zero dependency" on the Strait of Hormuz. The planned development in Fujairah is part of a broader UAE initiative to secure its supply chain as the waterway remains the focal point of a volatile standoff between the US and Iran.

According to The Financial Times, the project would involve the construction of a multipurpose port in the Fujairah coastal area and an additional terminal within the existing harbor. This expansion is intended to provide a critical alternative to Dubai’s Jebel Ali port, which is geographically trapped inside the Persian Gulf and vulnerable to the ongoing maritime blockade.

This move aligns with the UAE’s accelerating efforts to overhaul its domestic infrastructure. In addition to the port developments, the nation is fast-tracking the West–East Pipeline project to double its crude oil export capacity through Fujairah by 2027, effectively allowing energy shipments to reach the Gulf of Oman without traversing the strait.

❗️Trump declares US 'Guardian of Hormuz,' says the strait is 'open and will remain open'

President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that the United States is unilaterally reinstating an "Iranian blockade" in the Strait of Hormuz, vowing to keep the waterway open for international transit while exclusively barring Iranian vessels and their commercial partners.

Declaring the US "Guardian of the Hormuz Strait," Trump signaled an immediate shift in maritime governance, framing the move as a necessary step to stabilize one of the world’s most volatile energy chokepoints.

"The Hormuz Strait is OPEN, and will remain OPEN, with or without Iran. We are reinstating the THE IRANIAN BLOCKADE, so named because it is only stopping Iran’s ships or customers from entering or leaving. All other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait. The U.S.A. will be, from this point forward, known as 'THE GUARDIAN OF THE HORMUZ STRAIT,' but as such, and as a matter of FAIRNESS, will be reimbursed, at the rate of 20% on all cargo shipped, for any and all costs necessary to do the job of providing safety and security to this very volatile section of the World. The process and formation will begin immediately," he wrote.

❗️Jerusalem Governorate slams Israeli plan for massive new settlement in occupied East Jerusalem

The Jerusalem Governorate has issued a sharp condemnation of a newly approved plan to construct the largest Israeli settlement project within a Palestinian neighborhood in occupied East Jerusalem.

Officials described the initiative as a "major escalation" and a "blatant violation of international law," warning that it represents a deliberate effort to alter the city's demographic landscape.

The proposed development would see the construction of approximately 450 residential units in the Umm Lison neighborhood, located southeast of Jerusalem, designed to house nearly 2,000 Israeli settlers.

By placing this bloc directly within an established Palestinian community, the project seeks to consolidate a "colonial system" aimed at fracturing Palestinian territory in the city's southern sector.

According to the Governorate, the settlement is part of a broader strategy to systematically restrict Palestinian urban growth. By surrounding Palestinian neighborhoods with interconnected settlement blocs, the plan effectively aims to dismantle the geographical continuity of Palestinian areas in occupied Jerusalem.
