⭕️ AJC to donate to help repair Gaza church

This week, the American Jewish Committee (AJC) revealed it is donating $25,000 to the Archdiocese of New York to help fund repairs at Gaza’s Holy Family Church, which was damaged in an Israeli attack last month.

“In the wake of this tragedy, we want to be there for Catholic partners who have been there for the Jewish people in our times of need,” the AJC’s director of interreligious affairs, Rabbi Noam Marans, said in a statement. “Together, as Christians and Jews, we can affirm the shared humanity of all.”

❗️The Jordanian armed forces announced today that its forces had killed two armed individuals following a “foiled infiltration attempt” at the Syrian border yesterday.

In its statement, the Jordanian Armed Forces offered no additional details but said the remaining members of the armed group were forced back into Syrian territory.

❗️Majority of Israelis afraid of travelling abroad

According to a poll broadcast by Israeli Channel 12, 56% of Israelis said they are worried they may be unable to travel abroad due to mounting international criticism of Israel over its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.

In contrast, 40% of respondents said they were not concerned about potential travel issues, while 4% were unsure or had no opinion.

On the issue of the captives and the genocidal war on Gaza, 62% of those surveyed said the government should pursue a comprehensive agreement to secure the release of all captives held in the Strip. Meanwhile, 28% supported escalating the military campaign and occupying the entire Gaza Strip.

Only 4% expressed support for advancing a partial agreement to free around half of the living captives, the framework that has been under negotiation in recent months.
