❗️UNIFIL forces in south Lebanon confirm that they have been targeted by the Israeli army in south Lebanon:

"UNIFIL’s Naqoura headquarters and nearby positions have been repeatedly hit.

This morning, two peacekeepers were injured after an IDF Merkava tank fired its weapon toward an observation tower at UNIFIL’s headquarters in Naqoura, directly hitting it and causing them to fall. The injuries are fortunately, this time, not serious, but they remain in hospital.

IDF soldiers also fired on UN position (UNP) 1-31 in Labbouneh, hitting the entrance to the bunker where peacekeepers were sheltering, and damaging vehicles and a communications system. An IDF drone was observed flying inside the UN position up to the bunker entrance.

Yesterday, IDF soldiers deliberately fired at and disabled the position’s perimeter-monitoring cameras. They also deliberately fired on UNP 1-32A in Ras Naqoura, where regular Tripartite meetings were held before the conflict began, damaging lighting and a relay station."

From Lebanon to Gaza, invading Israeli forces are being fiercely ambushed and targeted. Today, 10 October, Israeli forces in Jabalia, which is under brutal siege amid Israel’s barbaric escalation on northern Gaza, took heavy losses inflicted by the Palestinian resistance. Qassam fighters carried out a qualitative ambush that targeted over a dozen Israeli military vehicles east of Jabalia camp using shells and explosive devices, according to field reports.

At Ras al-Naqoura in south Lebanon, Hezbollah fighters have targeted Israeli forces attempting to advance deeper at least three times. Al Mayadeen reported that a convoy of 60 soldiers and five tanks came under fire and live footage of their vehicles burning from a distance were aired live on television. The Lebanese resistance fighters repeatedly targeted forces while they were trying to evacuate their dead and wounded.

Meanwhile, the headquarters of UNIFIL’s ‘peacekeeping forces’ (located in Naqoura) and other positions have been repeatedly attacked by Israel, who, according to many reports, has been using the UNIFIL forces as "human shields," to quote the resistance, treating their positions as trenches in Labbouneh, Maroun al-Ras, and Naqoura.

UNIFIL confirmed in a statement today that their forces and positions have been repeatedly hit, resulting in the hospitalization of UN forces.
