June was Men's Mental Health Awareness Month.

Many people carry burdens that are heavy, exhausting, and often invisible. Left unaddressed, those struggles can have devastating consequences, including suicide.

I could go on about societal stigma, expectations, lifestyles, environments, and everything in between, but at the end of the day, what matters most is taking that first step toward getting the help you need. Healing doesn't happen overnight, rather it happens one step at a time.

Take a moment to check in on the people closest to you. Ask how they're really doing. Listen. Be present. Sometimes the brightest smile can hide the deepest struggle, and you never truly know what someone is carrying.

While June shines a spotlight on men's mental health, mental health itself isn't a one-month conversation. Whether it's men or women, it deserves to be taken seriously every month, every day, every hour.

Be kind. Be aware. And if you're struggling, know that it's okay to ask for help. There's strength in reaching out.✌🏾
