What does it mean to be obsessed? I hear obsession is needed to get to the next level, but what exactly is obsession? I can't grasp my mind around it and I think that's the one thing that is holding me back from greatness.
Open to hearing your interpretations and answers😁

i think being obsessed to something is when you revolve your life around that something.

for example if you wanna be obsessed about your craft, your whole life got to revolve around it meaning everything you do/see/hear must contribute to your craft .... from the people you meet, to the videos you watch and podcasts you listen to got to be something that contributes to your craft at all times

and not only that you gotto structure your days/weeks for you to be optimally enhancing your craft.

once this happens your whole world will be fragments of your craft, hence being obsessed

Being obsessed is waking up and the only thing u can think of is that project
And when you sleep u only dream of that thing u are obsessed with
You ever see something so beautiful it genuinely gets you to question what beauty truly is?
February 16 gang, mark this day. We will be going crazy wit it🔥

What keeps us from truly admiring or enjoying things is constant overstimulation. When your brain is always overwhelmed by high-intensity input, it loses the sensitivity to appreciate what’s quieter or more subtle.

For example, if you’ve just eaten a richly spiced tibs stew, you’re unlikely to fully enjoy—or even notice—the delicate taste of a fine shiro served right after. But imagine you’re truly hungry, and that same shiro arrives. Now, you’d almost certainly appreciate it completely.

The point is: our brains admire and enjoy things best when they arrive at the right time. To create that “right time” in daily life, we need to consciously reduce overstimulation. If we’re always flooded with intense experiences, ordinary moments lose their shine.

So, to truly enjoy and admire life’s simple gifts—a good meal, a quiet moment, a cool breeze—we must protect our capacity to feel them. That means intentionally keeping our stimulation levels low.

There’s real science behind this. It relates to dopamine baseline levels and how they shape what we perceive as rewarding or noteworthy.

To put it simply:
Enjoying = “This feels good.”
Admiring = “This is good.”
Overstimulation dulls both.

By reducing the noise, we make room not just for pleasure, but for presence, attention, and genuine appreciation.

CBE must be the most troll ass bank and app ever.

I tried to send 10k to pay for fees to CBE birr from the commercial bank app and it gave me an error. I tried 3 times and after 3 more errors, I decided to see if the balance was the issue (which it wasn't). It cut out 30k birr without telling me that it did.

Who built this app gang?😭😭 What the hell 😭
