You can import angular pipes in either or both import or provider options in the @Component decorator. A pipe being a function used in template expressions to accept an input value and return a transformed value for display
Simply put it, if you import it in the import option, you use the pipe directly in your template/html file. if you import it in the provider options you use the pipe directly in your component/.ts file.
