Water

🇮🇷 On the topic of attacks on freshwater supply:

Today Iranian FM Araghchi said that the Epstein Coalition
attacked the freshwater desalination plant on Qeshm and warned that the criminal move could have “grave consequences.”

Water infrastructure is an extremely sensitive target in the region. Israel receives roughly 75–86% of its potable water from desalination and aims to reach about 90% of total supply. Five major Mediterranean plants produce around 600–700 million cubic meters per year.

The Gulf states are even more dependent. Saudi Arabia gets about 70% of its drinking water from desalination, producing roughly 5 billion cubic meters annually. In the UAE, desalination provides about 42% of total water supply and more than 90% of potable water. Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain rely on desalination for roughly 70–90% of their water.

Iran is in a very different position. The country produces roughly 120 million cubic meters of desalinated water annually out of total water use near 100 billion cubic meters, meaning well under 1% nationally. Desalination is concentrated mainly along the southern coast, especially in Hormozgan province, while around 90% of Iran’s water consumption is tied to agriculture.

In other words, Iran has limited dependence on desalination. Israel and the Gulf states do not.

This could get really ugly.

Americans are blind

🇮🇷 Ali Larijani:
The most important problem that the Americans have is that they do not understand the intellectual fabric of this region, West Asia, and especially Iran.

🇮🇷 IRGC:
With the destruction of key radars and THAAD systems, a large portion of the U.S. monitoring, interception and air defense network in the region has been disabled, effectively bringing down a security shield built over many years. This “radar blindness” means the region’s airspace is now open for further waves of powerful Iranian attacks.

Iran oil

🇮🇷 Massive Fire at Tehran Oil Storage Facility

Until now, the Epstein Coalition avoided strikes on Iran’s oil infrastructure, hoping to benefit from it if a friendly regime took power. That calculation appears to have guided the first days of the operation.

Strikes on refineries and oil depots now indicate that Washington and Tel Aviv no longer expect a rapid change of power. Instead, they are targeting critical infrastructure in an apparent attempt to trigger a humanitarian crisis and social unrest.

Earlier today, U.S. forces also carried out a missile strike on a freshwater desalination plant on Qeshm Island. What connection this facility has to the IRGC’s missile program is an open question.
______________

▪️”This is great evidence that USA have given up on their regime change goal. They would have loved to use those oil facilities for themselves. They know they can’t control Iran now, they are too strong. So now they are just trying to destroy them for the fun of it”

Kiryat Shmona

🇮🇷 Iran says the military is ready to continue the war for another six months.

🇮🇷 Ali Larijani: Trump sacrificed America's interests for Israel

Israel, through cunning and conspiracy, seeks to create conflict between Iran and regional countries, including Azerbaijan.

Trump has fallen into a trap caused by being deceived by Israel; instead of the slogan "America First," he sacrificed his country's interests for Israel and now, with undiplomatic behavior, only damages his own credibility.

The recent US attacks on empty governmental, educational, and medical centers are signs of desperation and "hysterical behavior" resulting from failure in separatist and overthrow projects.

The system is dumb, corrupt and inefficient

🇺🇸 “We're seeing more drones penetrate our defenses…We should be really honest with ourselves. A $ 20K Shahed forcing us to burn multimillion dollar interceptors...That's unsustainable. We only make 6 or 7 interceptors per month" ~ Fox News

🇷🇺
We have pointed this out since the beginning of the SMO: the Western military-industrial complex cannot simply ramp up production of its expensive systems overnight. The system is plagued by corruption, as well as overpriced and overhyped weapons programs. This situation developed after the collapse of the Soviet Union, when the industry shifted to a fully capitalist production model that opened the door to corruption and the outright siphoning of taxpayer money. Ironically, Russia was constantly accused of corruption while this was happening.

Fast forward well into the SMO, and Russia’s capacity to produce weapons systems is larger than at any time in the post-Soviet period. Corruption that existed in the system has been purged, and the defense industry is operating at full throttle, even exporting complex systems such as fighter jets and air defense systems.

Now we are a week into the war on Iran, and TV pundits are only beginning to discuss the possibility that there may be a problem. In reality, the problem is deep-rooted and will take years to resolve, if it can be resolved at all” ~ DDGeopolitics

The precedent

🇮🇷 By striking desalination plants, oil fields, and other civilian infrastructure today, the occupation and the United States have set the stage for Iran to respond in kind against energy facilities across the Middle East (West Asia).
